Why my children have always been more developed than others - I show one of the reasons

My husband and I have three children. Two daughters and the youngest long-awaited son. I try to devote a lot of time to my beloved children, so that they feel loved and needed by their parents. Indeed, in our time, parents can give so little attention to their children. And not because they do not want to, but because they cannot.

The development of our daughters was my main concern until the birth of my son. In all the events that were held in kindergarten and school, they have always participated and won prizes. When the eldest daughter was just born, I saw a photo of a developing rug on the Internet. And I decided to sew something similar for her, bringing in my ideas. The rug was sewn 11 years ago for the eldest daughter Zhenya, after 2 years he began to serve the youngest, and three years ago his son was already playing with him.

My development rug is made on the basis of a Soviet-era bedspread. It is a very dense, yet soft fabric that is pleasant to touch. I sewed a rug cover onto it. There is a zipper on the bottom and sides, with the help of which the rug turns into a bag.

At first I assumed that the bag-mat would serve for storing toys, but the children decided in their own way. They used it as a sleeping bag and a place to hide. A string in the drawstring is passed along the top, with the help of which the bag is tightened.

And now about what is on the rug itself. Firstly, it is a "rocky path". It is made of buttons, and the track is not only on the rug, but also on the additionally unfastened “tail”. Babies walk on buttons barefoot, affecting the sensitive points of the foot. This serves to boost immunity.

Later, they looked for the same buttons on the path, counted them, compared large and small ones, that is, they performed a variety of exercises.

For the development of fine motor skills, there is a matryoshka with pigtails on the rug, which must be braided. Her dress is laced up through the holes in the lace bib.

Various characters are attached to the buttons - an owl, a dog and a chicken. You can play with them, transferring them to a clearing, then to the lake to the Little Mermaid, then to the path. There buttons are sewn everywhere and toys can be attached.

An asterisk lives under a cloud in the sky, it needs to be attached to hooks, which is more difficult for children's fingers, which means that they develop better. Mushrooms are also unhooked from their places.

The favorite toy for children, of course, is the house. It is "three-room", it opens after unbuttoning the buttons to the sides and down. A small soft dog lives on a chain in the house. She can also walk on the rug, you can talk and argue with her.

There are many fabric pictures of different animals on the rug. Kids show how bees fly, how bunnies jump. They moo like cows and meow like cats. You can endlessly come up with all kinds of games with a rug.

I did it, of course, not in one day, but gradually, adding new toys for Zhenya as she grew up. And she herself learned with this rug, for example, to embroider with ribbons. It was here, in the garden near the house, that I embroidered my first sunflowers. And on the beds I have carrots and radishes made with ribbons.

It's not at all how it is done and how much it costs. Children will appreciate not the cost, but the attention of the mother. Her desire to play, invent games and fairy tales on the go. At the same time, they themselves fantasize, develop their imaginations and increase their vocabulary.

Our rug is already old, but everyone loves it and understands that it served as the first, most beloved toy, the warmest and most delicate blanket and the most important "textbook" in the family.

Now that the children have grown up, the rug is in the closet, and 12-year-old Zhenya said that her daughter would get it. What could be nicer for me?
