How I use wooden sticks from sushi and rolls and why I never throw them away
Rolls and sushi have become an integral part of the diet of modern people. Probably, there are very few of those who have not tried this dish yet. And of those who have tried, almost everyone wants to try more, other options. If not many people take the risk of eating sushi, then many people like the rolls.
Of course, there are rolls with chopsticks - this is a special art. For example, I always eat with a fork, so as not to be distracted by the work of my hands from the taste sensations. Therefore, at home I have accumulated a lot of packages with wooden sticks. And none of them is left without application, believe me!
They got the greatest use from me, of course, when caring for plants. So, when growing seedlings, it takes me more than a dozen sticks. They serve as props for elongated plants; I tie tomatoes to them. They also loosen plantings, it is very convenient and gentle for plants.
Only with the help of sticks I manage to save my first, winter cucumbers from the cat. He bypasses all seedlings, but single plants in pots do not give him rest, not a single cucumber ruined me! But such a picket fence of sticks interferes with him and the cat does not climb into the pot.
With the help of sticks with sharp tips, it is surprisingly convenient to dive small flowers and strawberry seedlings. They seem to be designed for this.
And in the summer, with double, not broken sticks, I press the mustaches of varietal plants and twigs of currants and gooseberries to the soil to get seedlings rooted together with the mother bush. This is the best option I've tried. Then it remains to cut them off and the new plant with roots is ready!
In addition, I cut one tip of the stick in half and on the resulting plate I write the name of the culture or variety that I have sown.
And on the greenhouse beds I just stick sticks and hang the seed bags on them. I know exactly where what is sown.
And one more use of sticks - I string potato halves on them and make wireworm traps on potato ridges. I have been doing this from the time the snow melted until the fall. The sticks are clearly visible in the soil and are easy to find.
To do this, I cut the potatoes, put them on a stick and bury them about 10 centimeters deep. After 20 cm the next one, so - pieces 4-5. On the third day, I take them out and burn them together with the wireworm in the sauna stove. Although every year it becomes less. After all, traps are the most effective way to combat this evil.
I'm not very keen on needlework, but my friend makes coasters from sticks for hot dishes, intertwining them with colored ribbons. It turns out to be a pretty, inexpensive gift.
I saw that many girls fix their hair on their heads. So does my niece, who has long, thick hair.
This is how you can use sticks, which many simply throw away, but in vain!
