Once in one of the articles I showed a solar-powered street lamp that I purchased three years ago. Convenient lighting when you leave the site in the dark after work:

The lamp is of high quality, on an aluminum base, there is a motion and light sensor. I take it off for the winter (because the battery does not charge even on cloudy autumn days). The price in 2017 was RUB 460 I would have bought more of these, but they were not on sale in the Chinese online store.

I chose another model in about the same price range:

Ordered from 144 LEDs. Should be bright. The lamp is also equipped with motion and light sensors, but the body is entirely plastic. Purchased on aliexpress here due to expedited delivery (from a warehouse in the Russian Federation) - the order came in 11 days.

The panel has an on / off button for the luminaire with a sealed rubber cap. It's comfortable. When turned on, the lamp lights up even in the sun, indicating that it is on, and after 2 seconds it goes out. In the previous model, you had to take a paper clip or pin and poke it into a hole in the case (made to prevent moisture from entering the rain). And it was not clear whether he turned it on or off (checked in the dark).

I decided to look at the inside of the lamp and what type of battery is installed.

We unscrew the back cover. It does not land on the sealant, but a groove is made on it (two sides) and an inner wall is inserted into the middle, separating the electronic part from the outer, from potential moisture ingress. An 805080 battery is installed inside. I did not check the capacity, but their average characteristics are 3.7V at 3000 mAh. Controller on an unsigned microcircuit. There are no settings for the glow time after the variable resistor is triggered.

Having considered the fastening of the panels to the case, there was concern about the delamination of the solar panel and leakage into the water. We'll have to coat the seam with a sealant so that the lamp will work for several years. Otherwise, it may not be enough for the season. In the past, similar luminaires, the solar battery was filled with transparent epoxy on top.

How to install - I will supplement the article with new photos at night. I will write how many seconds it works after triggering.
