So, in fact, there are several extremely unpretentious plants that do not need even a tiny piece of land for the harvest. It is enough for them to be seated on the balcony or windowsill, and that's it! While you will need to do a couple more things: choose the right pot or tray, as well as provide care for them (which is primitive to the point of disgrace). And then the result will not keep you waiting long!

In general, in order not to waste your time in vain on the eve of the summer season, I have prepared a list of

6 unassuming vegetables and fruits that even a novice gardener can handle.

1.Tomatoes. In the apartment, you can plant not only tomato seedlings, but also grow a full-fledged bush with fruits. The only thing for this you need to choose a dwarf or undersized tomato variety, which has a high yield, and a fairly deep pot. And then provide it with the necessary amount of natural light (at least 5 hours a day) and abundant watering. Actually, that's all.

Of course, you won't be able to make preparations from the balcony harvest for the winter, but it will definitely be enough to provide your whole family with fresh salad and diversify the menu. Although who knows what size is your balcony ?!

2.Green beans. Green beans are another great addition to your diet. It is very easy to care for and does not require much attention! Loves well-lit windowsills or balconies, nitrogenous soil and a pot with a depth of 30-40 centimeters with a support to which the beans will cling to as they grow.

By the way, do not hesitate to exploit the pot to its fullest, especially if it is large, and grow celery, cabbage in it in addition to beans ...

3.Salad. A vegetable plant ideal for home growing. He needs a fairly wide and shallow tray, good drainage and moderately moist soil. Salad is usually sown in April or early May, leaving 10 centimeters of free space between the sprouts. So that the harvest is notable!

But keep in mind that the salad is afraid of the slightest frost! Therefore, until the weather settles, it is better to place it on the windowsill in the apartment.

4.Hot peppers. The plant is native to distant America, which means that it prefers to grow in a sunny and warm place somewhere in the house. All he needs is a small amount of fertilizer when planting and a pot 30 centimeters deep.

And then in July you can safely expect your first harvest of hot peppers!

5.Radish. Where is without this edible root vegetable? Fortunately, he also grows well in the apartment. Almost any container will do. But it is best to use a wide tray about 15-20 centimeters deep. So that you can sow radish seeds not very thickly, leaving enough room for growth.

And if you pick up an early-ripening variety now, then in just 3-4 weeks you will harvest your first ecologically clean harvest of radish.

6.Strawberry. Of course, you can't grow ordinary garden strawberry varieties at home, you need special "domesticated" ones. But on the other hand, they can bloom and bear fruit right from the beginning of spring to late autumn, especially if you plant more than one species, but several at once.

It can be grown in almost any container (be it a wooden box or a plastic patch), the main thing is that there is enough sun and water! Then the harvest will be rich, and the strawberries will be sweet.
