Then, of course, competitors appeared :) The fact is that beefs can be fattened up, they are very responsive to this matter. And tomato feeding technologies have made great strides forward.
Delicious is praised for keeping quality - a rather rare quality in tomatoes with a large mass.
And also, he is my age, bred in 1964.
True, there are fakes. These seeds were given to me, so I hope that the same delicious beef that does not crack will grow.
Mazarin
I have a tall Mazarin. There is another, with the same name, determinant. In general, Mazarin tomato is legendary, therefore, several different varieties are sold under the same name, plus one hybrid, plus a grade.
According to legend, in the middle of the 17th century, tomatoes were brought to France by Cardinal Giulio Mazarin. When a new interesting beef tomato was introduced in Russia, it was decided to name it in honor of the cardinal.
In my opinion, the main thing is good reviews. It is there.
My Mazarin distinguished himself by blooming early:
Its stem is flexible, it does not hold itself. And the flower is big, so the fruit will be big.
A real Mazarin is a smooth red-crimson heart. Very delicious. We wait!
Dacosta Portuguese
DaCosta's Portuguese. Again, everyone is different. And the color of the fruit (pink, raspberry or red), and the shape (heart or flatly rounded), and the taste - everything "walks". It is believed to be due to the growing conditions. But Dacosta should be fragrant. I still have this:
The tomato has 2 tops, it lacked nitrogen (gluttonous), so it twisted both tops. After the transplant, he immediately began to straighten the leaves.
In order for the tomatoes to turn out for sure delicious, I added ZIVA fertilizer, vermicompost and AVA capsules for vegetables to all of them. Beefs are responsive to “restaurant” hearty food. I also fed seedlings.
Hearty food, water and two thin bedspreads helped the tomatoes to sleep well when it was + 4 ° С outside at night yesterday.
