Screwdriver attachments for studding winter tires

But, such offers in tire changers are not available in all settlements of the country. And it is not always convenient to carry tires to a large city.

But what about the stud gun? It makes no sense to buy only for yourself - it's too expensive. And it needs a compressor. In the same article, I showed a simple attachment for a screwdriver, made with my own hands by one craftsman.
For this nozzle you will need: An M10 bolt and a nut to it, three M8 bolts with six nuts (three are possible), six washers and a wire with a diameter of 2-3 mm (for example, from welding electrodes, freed from coating).
Cut off the head of the M10 bolt, remove 2-3 cm of thread from one end and drill a small hole in the center for the spike protrusion. We weld the M8 bolts symmetrically on three sides. We bend the pieces of wire 10 mm long in half to obtain "jaws" and fix them between the washers on three bolts. The moment of mounting the spike in the seat is shown on the third slide.
The process is as follows: insert the wire of the nozzle (with a pre-installed spike) into the hole of the departed spike, hold it with your hand a nozzle, rotate the central rod with a screwdriver, the spike rests on the wire, the wire stretches the rubber and the rod drives the spike into the tire. At the end, the spike slides off the wire and remains inside. In order for the thorn to fit better, you will need to lubricate the hole with soapy water (in a container from under some kind of spray, window cleaner, for example).

Another, simpler option for a homemade nozzle:
The wire is simply welded to the nut. Side bolts and nuts are not needed. But such a nozzle can rotate and it will be difficult to hold it in the hand. You can weld a handle to the nut (perpendicular to the axis) and hold the nozzle by it.
But for the assembly of these, albeit simple nozzles, a welding machine is needed. Not everyone has it. A factory-made attachment is available for purchase. The head for the screwdriver is called Doshipun ver. 2.0
The nozzle is manufactured by the Russian company Remship. Package size: 13x10x6 cm. Looks like that:
They work with the nozzle as follows: unscrew the stem, load the spike into the side hole of the nozzle, insert the “sponges” of the nozzle into the seat on the tire, screw in the stem.
The attachment is sold in many online stores. For example, on wildberries (over 800 sold), ozon. Spikes of different heights are also sold there. And it is on sale even on aliexpress (with shipment from a warehouse in the Russian Federation). Link

There are negative reviews on the Internet, but according to the manufacturer, from the end of 2020. they eliminated all the shortcomings and the resource of the nozzle increased significantly.
I think that if you buy this attachment, then for the future. If you spike your tires more than once, or if a lot of spikes have come out and the tire tread is still in good condition. Or, as I wrote at the beginning, it is inconvenient to carry tires somewhere far away.
Why am I posting an article on this topic right now, in the spring? Now almost all motorists have changed their shoes on summer tires and it is just right to hisd winter tires if the spikes have taken off. As they say: prepare the sleigh in the summer ...
