Nowhere to place indoor plants and flowers on a small balcony? Yes, no matter how! 5 cool ideas to follow
You dream all summer long to admire bright beautiful flowers, inhale their sweet aroma, but the size of your balconies are so modest that even squeezing a normal planter for rooms into its borders is already a whole attainment? Don't be discouraged, as there are a number of creative ideas that can help you create a full-fledged flower garden on your balcony.
Good afternoon dear friends!
It's no secret that unusual plants and fragrant flowers are an extremely fashionable, inexpensive, but at the same time a very effective decorative element that can bring “tasty” colors and life to any interior. And the balcony is no exception! Even if it is extremely small. The main thing in this matter is to approach the solution of the problem creatively and try to use the original suspended storage systems, of which there are actually plenty.
And to make it easier for you make your dream come true by creating a stylish flower garden on a tiny balcony, I also prepared this material.
1."Rabitz". This is a moderately "strict", minimalistic, but extremely practical solution! Allowing the most rational use of the vertical surfaces of the balcony - the walls. On which you can attach a similar metal "mesh-netting", and then, using holders and hooks, hang numerous plants and flowers.
No bindings? It doesn't matter either! Just put a large tray at the bottom of the net, plant the climbing plants in it and let them crawl up the support, the wall, as they grow. Something like this!
2.Multi-tiered flower girl. Do you want to use not only the walls, but also the balcony railing? Wonderful! Then I propose to make a wooden flower pot with your own hands in several levels. You will need a profiled timber 20 * 30 and 20 * 100 or a board, as well as carnations and varnish. And then it's simple!
Make square "boxes" according to the size of flower pots, and then plant them on the central block. All that remains is to cover the structure with varnish and fix it to the balcony railing.
3.Wooden staircase. An excellent solution for people who rent an apartment and do not have the opportunity to use a hammer drill (other tools) for landscaping their balcony. So, you will need a wooden "ladder" and several hooks, with the help of which the flower pots will cling to the rungs. That's all!
By the way, such a system can be easily disassembled and assembled in a new place in the event of a move.
4.Hanging rail. When creating a flower garden on the balcony, do not forget about the ceiling. For the storage system for flowers and plants can be attached to it too - with the help of a wooden pole or a new handle for a shovel! To do this, prepare some wooden planks, a thick, sturdy rope, and pots of the same size with a wide rim. Then drill holes in the planks along the average diameter of the pots, tie them together and hang them from a rail (pre-attached to the ceiling).
Actually, that's it! A stylish and practical multi-level shelf for flowers and plants is ready.
5.Practical shelf. The combination of dark wood and black metal is always stylish and aesthetically pleasing, and together with indoor plants, it is also fashionable! And if you make some of the trays larger than the size of a regular pot, you get an extremely practical design! Since it will be possible to easily place containers on it for growing all kinds of useful greens (salad, basil, parsley or dill).
As for me, this is almost an ideal solution for a small balcony.
