Extractors on sale can be found in a set or per piece. I bought it in the kit. There are 5 extractors for bolts, studs.

On the back of the box are numbers that indicate the number, the diameter of the bolt for the extractor.

Extractors are of 3 types: rod, wedge and helical spiral. The tool shank can be four or hex. To unscrew, you need another knob or screwdriver.

There was no wrench in my kit, so I tried to work with a screwdriver, and then with pliers. Removing the chip is quick and easy.

Next, use a punch to drill a hole.

Now you need an extractor of a certain diameter for the hole. Insert the threaded end into the recess. Then carefully drive in the extractor with a hammer.

We unscrew the extractor together with the damaged bolt. I did it with pliers, but it is convenient to do it with an additional tool - a wrench.

For a professional such extractors they are unlikely to be liked, but they will be quite useful for a home craftsman. Moreover, the price is not high.
