I decided to find out: how the vaunted Vago terminals differ from their analogs? I share the results.
This check was not planned in advance. Just in one of the stores, I came across one-to-one terminals like "Vago" (only without any inscriptions). And I wondered what the difference was.
Friends, a big hello to everyone. The construction of my house is moving forward, and now I am slowly dealing with issues related to the electrics (otherwise I would not have paid attention to these terminals).
I bought it for fun.
And I decided to figure out what the difference is.
I already had the original "Vago".
1. In shape, the terminals are exactly the same. Only the shade is different and the original terminals have a name.
There are no inscriptions on the analogue at all, except for the permitted loads.
2. Feels like the levers on the "Vago" are somewhat tighter.
And in theory, this is a plus to the original terminals, since the crimping of the wires will be stronger.
3. Now let's see what's inside ...
There is the spring mechanism itself, which clamps the wires.
And at first glance, there are no differences between the original and the analogue.
The only thing is that the copper plate itself, which is the connecting contact, is slightly thicker in "Vago" than in the other specimen.
✅ Under heavy loads, this can play a decisive role.
4. And finally, I set everything on fire.
Non-flammability is also an important characteristic. Here, both copies passed the test, no matter how hard I tried. Plastic only melts, but does not burn ...
So does the original make sense?
Especially that the original "Vago" are not cheap - from 24 to 40 rubles apiece (this is for triple terminals). And the analog, which I bought at a local construction site, costs 15 rubles.
- If you use the terminals for wiring the power lines, then of course I would choose the original "Vago", and then with a margin ...
- And with light loads, such as light lines, the analog will cope.
✅ In any case, both options must be maintainable and controlled.
Friends, what do you think? I look forward to your opinion and advice in the comments.
