How to feed dill so that it grows juicy, lush and fragrant?
Before sowing dill, the soil should be fed using humus. It should be applied in the amount of half a bucket per square meter of area, while adding 15 grams is good.
"Solution", "Kemira wagon" or nitrophoska. Humus can be replaced with mullein. Water the furrows last, diluted with water in proportions of 1 to 10. You can use "Biud" diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 20.
Dill can be sown in several times. For early harvests, dill can be sown with dry seed in the first ten days of April.
Usually the culture is sown in the twenties of April, either in a greenhouse, or under a covering material. Subsequently, the crops are repeated every 2-3 weeks, this will make it possible to have fresh greens on the table throughout the season.
The sowing deadline is at the end of summer (in greenhouse conditions). However, dill can also be planted later, after the heat-loving crops have been harvested.
Experienced gardeners advise sowing dill not in one strip, but in a wide furrow. To do this, you need a board 50 mm wide, which should be pressed into the ground, previously watered on depth of 10-20 mm, then it is necessary to scatter seed material in a zigzag manner along the resulting furrow.
The distance between the furrows must be left at least 10 cm, this will protect the crops during thinning from falling and wilting.
When the seed material is in the soil, it should be sprinkled with humus or soil and not be watered so that the seeds do not wash deeper into the soil, because then there will be no friendly seedlings.
When 2-3 real leaves appear, you need to thin out the plantings, while a distance of 80-100 mm should remain between the bushes. If such manipulations are not performed, then the bushes will stretch out and, as a result, a dense plant cannot be obtained.
When dill grows and develops under it, it is not required to apply fertilizers, because this culture is fast-growing, and the fertilizers already applied are enough for it.
