Each thing has its own price and value. Price is measured in money, and value is the benefit we get in the end. And even the cheapest tool can perform well, as much as you need.

Friends, I am glad to welcome you. I have already managed to get my first experience in electrical installation, and I have something to share. There have already been articles in which I wrote about different cable manufacturers, as well as about the difficulties in crimping the conductors (see these materials on my channel).

Today is the next tool.

The most useful tool that will speed up and simplify your work is the stripper.

I didn’t spend money and buy expensive models simply because it would only be needed for one time. After wiring in the house, I just won't need a stripper anymore.

But on the other hand, of course I want it to be enough for this job ...

And I decided to take the cheapest, but at the same time multifunctional copy - the "Dexter" stripper.

And after the electrical work in the basement, the first conclusions can be drawn.

• Perfectly removes external insulation.

I used a VVG-Png cable. Both 1.5 and 2.5 mm² fit perfectly into the stripper and are cleaned.

• But with the veins themselves there are misfires. And the thinner the vein, the more chances that the instrument will "slip".

But such cases are few, and most importantly, everything is stable. Ie it does not get worse, so you can work.

✅ And for home use, this tool is sufficient.

But for professionals, I would not recommend it.

This I can "spit" a couple of times, anyway, the work is done only once. And for permanent use, of course, you need a professional tool. Stripper "Dexter", with all the desire for this does not pull.
