Strip foundation for a fence made of corrugated board: design, dimensions
Before erecting a fence from a profiled sheet, a beginner has many questions. You need to know: what depth and width the tape should be; what reinforcement to use for the frame; what distance should be kept between the posts? We will give answers to these questions and tell you how to make a reliable strip foundation for a fence from a profiled sheet. And also this information will help you not to be mistaken if you order the manufacture of a fence with a foundation from hired builders.
Andrey, FORUMHOUSE member:
“In the spring of this year, I decided to fence off the site with the help of a construction company. The cost of the fence is 1500 rubles / m, together with the work. I started asking what they would build from. They told me in detail: "Sheet 0.4 mm, posts 60 * 60 * 2 with a depth of 800 mm, logs 20 * 40 * 2, tape 400 * 200, reinforcement - a frame of 4 rods of reinforcement d6". To my questions: will there be a sand cushion under the tape; will the hole be reinforced and bind the armopoyas; what will the armopoyas be tied up with and through what distance - the answer followed - "Well, if necessary, we will do as you want ..." I said that nothing is needed from them. What is all this for? In addition, many order turnkey fences and receive low-quality and technologically incorrect foundations, which then do not stand for a long time. If I didn't know how to do the right thing, I got a temporary fence for a lot of money. "
How to properly fill the tape under the fence
The construction of the foundation begins with earthworks: a trench is dug and holes are drilled under the pillars.
Trench width - 250 mm; depth - 300 mm. The depth of the holes for the pillars is 1200 mm (the depth of the holes must exceed the depth of soil freezing); hole diameter - 250 mm; the distance between the posts is 2500 mm.
Be sure to mark the laces before excavation!
Next, you need to make a sand cushion 100 mm thick along the bottom of the trench and in the holes. The sand must be tamped.
The next step is to install the formwork. The formwork boards must be securely anchored to the ground and connected at the top. The height of the formwork is the height of the tape. The optimum belt height above the ground is 250 mm.
After that, it is necessary to constructively connect the foundation with the holes in which the pillars will be located. For this, reinforcement d8 with a length of 1500 mm is used. There are 2 rods per hole. The rod is bent at the level of the upper frame reinforcement at an angle of 90 ° and inserted into the hole. The bent ends of the reinforcing rods should be directed along the tape in different directions from the post. The folded ends of the rods will be tied to the ribbon frame.
Reinforcement
The frame is made of four longitudinal rods of reinforcement d8 and tied every 300 mm in reinforcement with a diameter of d6. Use baked steel wire with a diameter of 1-1.4 mm for tying reinforcement. And also the reinforcement cage is connected to the rods of the holes.
Important! For concrete structures in the ground, it is necessary to maintain an offset between the reinforcement and the foundation surface. The reinforcement must be protected with a 40 mm concrete layer. In our case, the reinforcement cage will be 170 * 170 mm in size and installed 40 mm below the top point of the foundation.
Concreting
For strip foundations of enclosing structures, concrete of the M200 brand should be used. This is the optimal grade that allows you to get a structure with high performance.
For the manufacture of concrete of this brand, use the following proportions: cement - 1 part; sand - 2.8 parts; crushed stone - 4.8 parts. The water factor is 0.7. That is, for every 10 kilograms of cement, 7 liters of water are required.
When pouring concrete, use a vibrator. If there is no such equipment, then bayonet the concrete and push the mixture into the holes so that there are no air pockets in the foundation.
After pouring, the foundation should be covered with cellophane film, and on the third day, start spilling with water. Watering twice a day for 3-4 days. The fence can be installed 7 days after the concrete is poured.
