I continue to talk in detail about the manufacture of a wooden chair in a home workshop. In this part, we will be about the manufacture of chair tsars.

But before making the tsars, it is worth remembering about gluing the blank for the seat.

The part is relatively small and you can take any suitable boards for gluing.

The pine material is quite soft and if the saw gives a clean cut, then it can be glued immediately after the saw. In this case, glued without jointing immediately after the saw, and the workpieces are quite short.

I used homemade clamps. The design of these clamps can be found here.

Now for the tsars.

Two drawers are straight, and two have a beveled edge. I planned to make the thorns on a router installed in the table and, for convenience, immediately set the desired angle on the long sidebars.

Then the spikes were made using a router. The cutter was only 16 mm., And the spike needed 20 mm., So I milled in two passes. The spike was made 10 mm thick, the part was 20 mm. thickness, and shot 5 mm with a milling cutter. from each side.

The beveled end on long side bars made it possible to set the same bevel at the spike on the plane. The edges had to be milled with readjustment to the stop.

Since the grooves were also made with the help of a cutter, the edges were rounded at the spikes.

Also, it was still necessary to make bevels on the front legs. In this project, I made them using an electric plane.

They can also be made using a small circular tool. I talked about him here.

I propose to look at the production of these parts of the chair in video clip.

It is interesting

Last year, the channel had a series of posts on making a bathroom cabinet. Who is interested can see link.

And even earlier, there was a series of articles on making a durable, reliable stool. You can see here.

Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.
