It is impossible to open the hood of the car with one hand. Rather, you can lift it with one hand, but in order to fix it, you need to remove the stop (rod) from the fixation and support the hood. Only a few premium models are factory fitted with bonnet gas stops.
On the Internet, I somehow came across drawings and a description of the manufacture of such gas stops for my car. I purchased gas stops (2 pcs.) Of the required length and pushing force and cut the corners of the required size from the building corners with a grinder. Drilled holes in them, painted and installed. It turned out like this:

A gas lift from the VAZ 2108 or from the 14th VAZ model (working stroke - 460 mm, force - 340 N) is suitable for my car model (the brand is indicated in the drawings). Always available in any auto shop.
Opening the hood is now possible with one hand. The stops were installed several years ago. And I am completely satisfied with the result. Why automakers don't install them right at the factory is not clear to anyone. The cost for them is probably 500 rubles. in terms of our money (I'm talking about foreign cars). Yes, and our car manufacturers could install them.
The hood will not rise on the move (even if it is accidentally opened) - there is a latch in the lock. In order for the hood to rise, it must be pressed under the hood by hand.
Recently I saw such kits in Chinese online stores. Each model has its own dimensions and its own seats of holes in the corners. One example here.
