Originally from the USSR: a simple penny remedy that will rid the garden and vegetable garden of aphids

The aphid invasion can be described as a great disaster for the gardener and gardener. Colonies of these small voracious insects are capable of damaging plantings or completely destroying plants. A proven method for aphids native to the USSR

Earlier, in times of shortage, any fertilizers and insecticides (means for combating garden pests) could not be found with fire during the day. Therefore, avid gardeners and gardeners used any available means, since there were no special problems with them.

Tar soap was used against aphids. It is both an insecticide and an adhesive “in one bottle”. That is, it contains tar (5–10%), which consists of components that repel aphids: phenols, phenyl oxide, terpenes, organic acids; well, and, accordingly, soap, because of which these components adhere perfectly to leaves and shoots.

How to prepare a solution

Aphid solution is very simple to prepare. It is necessary to finely chop 100 grams of tar soap and dissolve it in ten liters of warm water. You can use this simple and, just as important, a penny remedy on any plants: decorative, berry, fruit.

How to process

Before processing berry plants, one nuance must be taken into account: tar soap has a pronounced odor that can be absorbed into the berries. If berry plants are already bearing fruit, then it is better to give preference to biological preparations such as Fitoverm. Tar soap is a powerful remedy for aphids, but it should be applied well in advance, about 2 weeks before picking the berries. There are no contraindications to the use of this remedy for the rest of horticultural crops.

The treatment is also simple: a solution of tar soap must be poured into a garden spray and applied to the plants. Apply the solution thoroughly - the product should get on the leaves and young shoots from all sides. Five days after the first treatment, it is necessary to repeat it. After two treatments, you can no longer worry about these annoying pests.

If you want to get rid of aphids guaranteed - drive the ants out of the area!

If you are fighting aphids, be sure to treat anthills with tar solution. These insects must be expelled from the site, as they are protectors and helpers of aphids. Tar soap effectively repels ants. For them, you can even double the concentration of soap: add not 100 grams, but 200 grams per 10 liters. Another nuance - the treatment of an anthill implies a deluge in their home, and not a superficial application with a sprinkler.
