On the nose the New Year, and I recently wondered: how nice it would be to grow your table green onion. Previously, my mother put the onion in a small glass with water. And the pen grew!
But now this method is hardly suitable: all the windowsills are occupied with flowers. And as much as you to my family for the holiday table, a couple of glasses will not grow! We'll have to take up the entire window ...
At first I found on the Internet "original" method of growing onions in a five-liter bottle. You probably have already seen these pictures:
Undoubtedly. Onion tree looks very interesting. Yes, and the volume of the pen is impressive. But!
It is not for me)) Knowing their accuracy, I know that after the first watering the entire sill be dirty. Yes, and spend 5 (!) Liters of soil in the bulb, which may well be content with plain water, I do not want.
Fortunately, the Internet found an original idea. Here it is something I will do. I share with you:
I describe the design itself (briefly):
- Take a tray for eggs (plastic or foam, whose name I unfortunately do not know).
- Cut into 2 parts. One - pan, the second - for the bow.
- In "To the bow" of the parts cut off "bottoms" - holes are necessary for the growth of the roots in water. So our onion will consume all that it eats
- Down - a pan, top - half with holes. something needs to be put between them, which will create space for root growth (as in the photo above). For example, Japanese chopsticks for sushi, pencils and anything.
- We pour the water, insert healthy bulbs (check that there is no mold) and wait for the green Peryshkov.
