But due to the fact that the construction site takes up most of the time, you do not ride a bike very often lately. Another point is that the area around our village is hilly. It is quite difficult to climb a steep climb, sometimes you have to walk and roll your bike nearby.
There are motor-wheels on sale that allow you to convert a bicycle into an electric bike with the ability to run up to 80 km on a single charge. But today, such kits are still quite expensive - their prices start at $ 28,000. rub. for a power of 350 watts.
This is not a comfortable price for everyone. On YouTube, you can see reviews on various homemade products, electric motors on batteries, installed in conjunction with a controller on a bicycle. The sprocket is clamped with brackets and screws on the spokes of the wheel on the back of the main gear elements. The position of the motor is adjustable in length and chain tension and is fixed to the frame. The battery can be fixed under the frame (if it is lithium), or on the trunk (if it is a lead-acid battery). Lead-acid batteries for 12 V with a capacity of 7.2 A * h cost 1000 rubles. But such a battery is afraid of deep discharges and will not last long with intensive electric driving. Lithium batteries will cost 2 times more. You can save money by collecting batteries from 18650 cells and their charging controller.
According to reviews, the speed of a bicycle developed on such an electric drive is up to 20 km / h. I believe that the main task of such a drive is not high-speed driving, but climbing uphills or rest while traveling. Or an option for retirees as moving around the village to the store.
