In China, according to CASC, a reusable spacecraft has been successfully launched and returned to Earth
Representatives of China National Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) spoke with a statement on the successful launch of a suborbital spacecraft, which took place on July 16, 2021. And on the same day, the device was successfully returned to Earth.
China and its own reusable ship
The launch vehicle with the spacecraft was launched from the launch pad located in the northwest parts of China and, according to experts, conducted the flight strictly complying with all "established procedures ".
In addition, the corporation clarified that the device landed in a horizontal position and, as specialists emphasized, successful development in Celestial Empire's own technology of reusable spacecraft will change the status of the country from a "big" space power to "Powerful".
So the creation of its own reentry spacecraft will allow China to significantly increase the number of launches with a simultaneous reduction in their cost due to the repeated use of some modules.
So in the fall of last year, China launched an experimental spacecraft into near-earth orbit, which was successfully returned after two days of being in near-earth space.
The spacecraft itself, which can perform suborbital flights, must rise to an altitude of up to 100 km, but unfortunately, the CASC did not provide data on the altitudes at which the current experimental flight.
Other flight parameters are also unknown. The corporation did not provide a single record that would confirm both the launch itself and the successful landing.
Users of Chinese social networks have suggested that a spacecraft is being developed in China, which vaguely resembles the reusable autonomous spaceplane X-37B of the US Air Force, capable of being on orbit.
Well, if the information provided by CASC is correct, then one should only be happy for China and congratulate them on receiving their own reusable spacecraft.
