Choosing a project for a new bath. Of course, you can't build it with such prices for wood, well, at least we will dream

We decided this year to build a new bathhouse by the fall. Our old bathhouse no longer stands up to any criticism - there are cracks everywhere, rotting. No wonder she is 25 years old!

And although we are trying to decorate our old woman in every possible way, the fact that it is time to change her is absolutely certain.

Recently, at the end of winter, we were offered a discount to buy a barrel-bath, and even a font as a gift. But I was categorically against such an acquisition. And now I thought a little - they would have taken it, they were already soaring. Because the prices for wood have risen so much that the construction of the bathhouse has been postponed for an unimaginable period.

The project of a new bath was discussed more than once. We want a building with a warm dressing room, as well as a porch on which the gazebo will be located. We cannot allocate a separate place for the gazebo, so at least we will put a table and sofas near the bathhouse on the porch so that it is pleasant to sit.

There are many such projects with a covered porch attached to the side. The entrance to the premises is through a warm dressing room, which is very convenient in winter.

But for our section, which is narrow and long in shape, it is better if the structure is elongated, that is, the porch will be at the end of the building.

Projects with such a porch, of course, are encountered, but they are very expensive, most likely due to the roof.

Now many of our friends make them from gas blocks, and inside they are sheathed with clapboard. We absolutely do not accept this option. For us, a bathhouse is only a log laid with jute, or better, with real moss. Only such a bathhouse can bear this name.

I was once in a similar steam room, I experienced it myself, I don't want it anymore. The air there is heavy, there is a smell of some kind of chemical substances, which is no wonder at this temperature. After all, foil waterproofing is still laid between the lining and the foam block.

No, this is not a bath, but a mockery of your own body. And no one will convince me that this is good. Although more and more such baths are being built, because they are cheaper and not as laborious as the log ones.

Such a project seems to us ideal, but it is not for real buyers who can buy a building for a million. The price at the moment on the site is 762,600 rubles from a polished log. The same bath made of rounded logs costs 729,100 rubles.

Of course, the prices are unrealistic, but this is the case throughout the country.

Therefore, we will dream and wait for better times to buy ourselves a beautiful bathhouse with a gazebo.
