Summer is coming to an end, rainy weather will soon begin in most of Russia. And along with it - high humidity, damp shoes, wet clothes and other unpleasant things that make our life uncomfortable.

So I remembered a few tips on how to overcome these unpleasant consequences of the inevitable rains.

If your shoes get wet

If your shoes get wet, then when you come home you need to get the insoles out of them, and stuff newsprint inside the shoes. It absorbs moisture well. In addition, when dry, shoes or boots will not lose their shape.

In the event that the blotting is strong, the paper needs to be changed several times. The shoes will be dry by morning.

Clothes in the closet

In wet weather, you need to put regular chalk on the shelves with clothes. It perfectly absorbs moisture and odors. And so that the chalk does not stain the closet, you can put it in a cloth bag. Of course, in those cabinets where sachets with aromas are placed, you should not put chalk, the sachets will very quickly lose their properties.

This is the old Soviet way, now unreasonably forgotten. It is described in books on home economics.

How to properly dry an umbrella

The umbrella will soon become an integral part of our way out of the house. Those who use it all the time, do not forget to take a couple of plastic bags with you in your bag so that you can shove a damp umbrella into them when entering, for example, in transport. Then the wet bag can be thrown away and used dry next time.

You need to dry the umbrella only in an incompletely straightened form. If you dry it taut, then the fabric stretches when it dries, microscopic holes are formed in it, which will then become more and more. As a result, the umbrella will get wet very quickly. This is especially true for inexpensive models made of low-quality fabric.

The umbrella frame will rust very quickly and break if left wet and dry. Therefore, do not forget about your rain protector and take care of it properly.

How to quickly dry wet clothes

If you do not have a change of clothes, and you need to leave the house, then you should not wear wet clothes. This threatens with serious illness and a decrease in immunity. Urgent measures must be taken to dry things.

Ways to dry clothes at an accelerated rate

If the heating is not yet working, then drying on the battery is not possible. Therefore, we present four alternative methods.

1. You can use a hairdryer. With its help, socks and other small things that are simply blown by hot air dry perfectly.

2. The second way is to turn on the oven, warm it up to a high temperature, and then open the door and put a hanger or chair with damp items nearby.

3. Those parts of the wardrobe where there are no metal parts - socks, T-shirts, can be dried in the microwave. To do this, you need to turn on the warm-up for 30 seconds. But the microwave must be clean, otherwise things will absorb the smell of food.

4. A terry towel will help to dry the synthetics. Things need to be wrapped in it and how to push through. The moisture will be absorbed into the fabric.
