Vibrating screed from the rule and an old vibration pump with your own hands
To smooth out concrete when pouring a monolithic floor, I decided on an experiment - I made a vibrating screed from an old vibration pump for water. It was not difficult to make the rake itself from the rule:
The 2 m rule was in the tool's arsenal. I only got a handle, a plastic handle for a shovel and a few corners for him. Self-tapping screws are also always on the farm.
I screwed the bar onto the corners. The rule itself was fixed with self-tapping screws for metal. I made diagonal struts from bars with a smaller section.
The pump was wrapped in a stretch film (so that no concrete would get inside), fixed with a metal tape and made stops from bars along its edges. The pump is inoperative, when pumping the well, holes from sand formed in the cover, but the electromagnet itself works, the piston rod vibrates.
Vibrating screed assembly. When turned on, it vibrates well enough. Here is a short video for a better understanding of the design:
But the builders did not like the vibrating screed in their work. Smoothing too slowly - they dismantled the pump and smoothed the concrete by hand as a rule. I myself was not able to try it in work, tk. I worked on pouring concrete from a concrete pump boom. Everything was in a hurry: it was hot and the concrete quickly set.
My conclusion is this: the idea has a place to be. But it is better to install the vibration pump vertically on the rail (with a contact on the rule). Then the amplitude of the vibrations will be directed downward and the rule will be better to smooth out the concrete.
There is one thing. You won't work with such a vibrating screed for a long time. The pump heats up after a few minutes and you need to turn it off for 5 minutes. It is designed for water cooling.
Instead of a vibration pump, you can install a vibration sander. Also a working option. This construction is especially effective when leveling concrete floor screed. There is no rush, the floors are filled with segments and you can smooth out everything with high quality on the lighthouses with interruptions.
