How to cook corn properly: a recipe that will not leave anyone indifferent

What is needed for the recipe

This recipe will require 6 ears of young or ripe corn. The ears should not be peeled, but in a sheet wrap. When choosing corn, follow the rule: the younger it is, the tastier and sweeter it is. But do not use unripe ears with white grains - they are tough and tasteless. In ripe corn, the grain is always yellowish or bright yellow.

In addition to corn, the recipe requires 400 ml of milk, 150 grams of natural butter, 1 tablespoon of sugar and, of course, salt, which is indispensable for 90% of the dishes on our planet. A 3-5 liter saucepan and cooking tongs are useful as inventory.

How to cook

Peel the corn of leaf wrap, hairs and rinse well under running water. Do not throw out the sheet wrapper, but also wash and leave for cooking.

Next, put a leaf wrapper in a saucepan, cobs on top of it, pour three liters of water, add a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of salt. Put on fire, bring to a boil.

When the water boils, add 400 ml of milk, stir gently and bring to a boil again. After boiling again, put butter in a saucepan and reduce heat so that the liquid boils a little. So cook until tender.

Cook young corn for 10-15 minutes, ripe ears - 30-40 minutes. Turn the cobs over while boiling and make sure they are completely submerged in the liquid.

Having cooked just once according to the above recipe, you will love it forever. The corn acquires a rich, creamy taste, and the kernels become very tender. Bon Appetit!
