2.Graphic decoration. Another solution that allows you to turn your grandmother's sideboard into ultra-modern furniture. You just need to apply a graphic pattern to it. So, first of all, remove all the accessories, doors and pull out the drawers. Then prepare the surface for painting: sand, putty, prime... Then draw the contours of the future ornament, and GO!

By the way, there is no need to use complex ornaments, the simplest ones are enough. And to make the buffet really memorable, try painting part of the facade to match the wall behind it. The result will pleasantly surprise you!

Sand, prime, and then carefully use a roller, brush and spatula to glue the pieces of wallpaper onto the front of the sideboard.

Wait a little, let the wallpaper dry. Only then carefully screw the handles back and return the drawers / doors to their place. For greater safety, you can cover the wallpaper with a layer of transparent varnish.

4.An authentic touch. Do you find the above solutions too complicated to implement? No problem! You can decorate the front of the sideboard with just a molding or an ordinary wooden frame. The hardest part of this idea is to do everything evenly and symmetrically. The rest is nonsense.

Finding and purchasing a suitable frame, covering the surface with a monochromatic matte paint, applying a contour and finally gluing the decor to the facade. That's it, the stylish authentic buffet is ready!

5.Stencil pattern. And this great solution allows you to make unique furniture with an original pattern, the likes of which will be difficult to find anywhere else! So, first you need to decide on the pattern. Fortunately, there are a lot of options on the Internet. Then download and print it. Then fix the template on the part of the furniture that you want to decorate with adhesive tape or temporary fixing glue. Finally, apply paint with a spray, brush, sponge or roller.

6.Easy transformation. And finally, an idea that does not require any special skills from you is the replacement of handles. Yes Yes exactly! Because of the shabby, broken fittings, a quite good sideboard will look old and untidy. Therefore, I propose to spend your precious time looking for something like that, unusual, and then literally in some half an hour to transform your wooden furniture.

And there is plenty to choose from: trendy pens with an unusual shape (rings, shells, animals or children toys) or handles made of non-standard materials (ropes, fabric, leather, glass, transparent or colored plastic).

And yet, I almost forgot one nuance! Before making a purchase, make sure that the hardware fits perfectly in size and proportion. Otherwise, the transformation of the buffet will not be the way you imagined it!
