Friends, everyone is a huge hello. When I did the preparations for the whole summer with my own hands, and erected the foundation for my house, I fully felt that this was the most crucial stage of the entire construction project.

How much time and effort was spent ...

And I tried to do everything conscientiously, as best I could, and knew how.

But after a while, my mind turned over.

While I was already laying the walls, construction began at my new neighbor. And what was my surprise when, as a foundation, I saw small columns made of concrete blocks (and not buried, but simply put on the surface).

Yes, even if the house is small, but all the same, a foundation of this kind, for me has always stood in the same line with a "collective farm" of this type.

Of course you can use it, but it seemed to me that only for some irresponsible buildings.

"And how does the columnar foundation, in fact, differ from the same shallow tape?"

Such a question was asked by my neighbor, looking at my bewilderment ...

• Wooden and frame houses are not so demanding on the solidity of the foundation. And small distortions in the plane are not terrible.
• It is very important - this is the correct base, however, as with a shallow tape. Therefore, if your site is not quite a swamp, and the sand and gravel cushion is well rammed, then this is already a big part of the matter.
• And if you make drainage, then you can not be afraid of flooding and frost.

But at the same time, huge savings:

On formwork, on concrete, and on time with labor costs.

The main thing is to provide a sufficient support area, i.e. the number of these pillars.

With the right calculations, you can deliver a house of any size. And confirmation of this is the many examples of fairly large houses on such a foundation.

In the case of my aerated concrete house, all this would certainly not have gone away, since the solidity of the foundation is necessary there.

But there are still plans for buildings on my site (a gazebo, a bathhouse, etc.), and there I think I will use these posts.
