"Strange look, questionable usefulness" is how many people think of the toothed trimmer disc. I show you how it came in handy on my site.
When you plan to build your house, you don’t think about the fact that in addition to the main work, you will need to solve secondary (as it seems) tasks. And a simple mowing of grass can turn into a separate story, with a bunch of nuances and subtleties.
Friends, greetings to all. This is the fourth year of construction of my house, and all this time my struggle with vegetation on the site (and not only) continues.
At first, there was the most important battle, when from scratch I had to clear an overgrown area with a forest, I thought everything would end with this.
But nature cannot be stopped, especially when the forest is around your site, then it is trying to reclaim the territory you captured, and return everything to its former, overgrown form.
But for two years now, I have a powerful weapon ...
Last season, I bought a thing that is simply necessary on any site - a brushcutter (or trimmer). And she just does an excellent job with her tasks.
Especially considering the specifics of construction, when you do not start mowing the grass until it grows "knee-deep" (there is simply no time). So even thick and tall grass is removed one or two times.
But the main feature is different.
Willow is the plant that simply floods everything around. And if I somehow coped with this on the site, then the area around it is actively overgrown with it. Especially expensive.
Along the drainage ditch, this willow grows very well, And you have to deal with it like with grass. Only regular trimmer line does not help here. And this thing comes to the rescue ...
It is such a toothed disc (and not with blades) that is what helps me out.
I heard many opinions, one hundred all such attachments are just marketing, to increase the configuration, and, accordingly, prices. But in fact, there is no sense from this.
But in practice, I was convinced of the opposite.
- Gently cuts small bushes, without impacts and corresponding loads on the brushcutter elements.
- This way you can also remove small trees, but the process is slower.
- At the same time, large, tall grass also lends itself perfectly.
- And no wear, like the fishing line does not fly off and does not break ...
So for me, this disc was just a salvation. Of course, not everyone will need it, but in situations like mine, the solution is ideal.
