Neighbors summer residents left and left the dog of their dead grandmother for the winter alone

Today I worry all day, I feel out of place and all the time I look out the window to see if the dog is running around there. However, everything is in order.

As always, on odd numbers, I came to the store for fresh bread, which is brought from the bakery of a local agricultural firm. There were two women there who were discussing something that didn't seem very pleasant. I greeted and got involved in a conversation.

There is a house on the edge of our street where an elderly woman has lived since last year. I remembered her as soon as I was told about the dachshund. I remember this woman precisely because she walked everywhere with a dog that really resembled a dachshund. I do not understand the breeds of dogs - whether it is some kind of breed, or a cross, I do not know. The legs are short, the body is long, reminiscent of a sausage. The dog is smart, he understood everything that the owner said to her. In the summer, a girl began to walk with them, then the second, apparently, brought her granddaughters. The girls loved the dog, played with it. Then all of them disappeared, I did not pay attention, you never know, maybe they left for the city.

But, as my neighbors told me, the reality turned out to be more tragic, even more terrible. Together with the children, the grandmother was also brought an infection, she fell ill, but she did not go to the doctors right away. And, of course, she could not stand the neglected form. A new illness took away this vigorous, full of strength, mature woman.

But if the children had parents, their families, apartments, then after the death of the owner, the dog had no one left. And the poor dog could not understand in any way where his adored mistress was, why only children were playing with him, and unfamiliar people were feeding him?

If he knew what awaits him ...

Soon the summer ended, and the parents took the girls to different cities. But nobody wanted the poor dog. One of the neighbors says that she heard the daughters quarrel over the fact that no one wanted to take the dog.

Although, it turns out, one of the daughters lived in a separate cottage. But through her tears, she proved to her second sister that her husband hated dogs and would drive them out of the gate together. That she will not destroy the family because of an unnecessary dog, which she also does not like.

The other sister lived in an apartment and could not keep a dog. She said that all day at work, her daughter was looked after by her mother-in-law, with whom the relationship was already strained. Where is one more burden for her.

And then the neighbor said something that I even cried:
“And you know, he sat next to them, listened to them and understood everything. Tears flowed from his eyes. He understood everything. And he left somewhere, although before without permission he did not leave the yard. "

And the sisters stopped quarreling, saw that the dog was not there, shouted at him, shouted and quickly, closing the house, left. The keys were left to a neighbor to show the house to buyers.

The neighbor watched the whole day to see if the dog would return. She decided to take the dog for herself. Probably not going to eat her. And such an intelligent dog does not meet every day. But only there was no red sausage on the legs to be seen anywhere.

I was so upset about this story that even the pressure went up. It's so awful that this kind of thing happens to us. I will definitely write if there is news about an intelligent orphan dog.
