Hard? That's what I mean! It is not so easy to choose a shoe rack that can 100% meet all your requirements. Either the size is small, the design does not correspond to the style of the interior, the price is some kind of "space", etc. Here's to to simplify your life in terms of convenient, compact and beautiful storage of shoes, I propose to make a similar piece of furniture your own hands. Well, why not? If for this you only need a few wooden planks, self-tapping screws... hands from your shoulders and a little time.

And to prove this fact to you, I prepared 6 examples of homemade shoe shelves that will help you clean up your hallway once and for all.

1.Bohemian shoe rack.

A practical interior detail that always looks light and stylish. To make it, you will need to purchase a couple of slats, several wooden cuttings and two dozen self-tapping screws. And then everything is simple. They assembled something like a wooden U-shaped bracket, attached it to the wall, and then screwed the cuttings to it. That's all!

Do you think that two shelves are not enough for you? Sure, not a problem! Do more, as their number directly depends on the free space on the wall and the number of pairs of your shoes.

2."Hanger" for short shoes. If you don't have high boots, but a lot of different boots, sneakers and sandals, then I suggest making a minimalist wall hanger for them. To do this, prepare some old planks (for example, from pallets), wooden cuttings and metal staples. And collecting it will not be difficult! They took a board, a stalk and attached them to each other with a bracket.

It remains only to screw the homemade shoe rack to the wall in order to finally free up the space near the front door.

3.Stylish shelf ladder. A spacious fashionable shoe rack in the form of a ladder is perfect for those who prefer non-trivial solutions and do not want to make holes in the wall. So, prepare a wooden ladder, 5 boards (steps are possible) and a few metal fasteners. Now put the whole structure together as in the photo below!

In order to finish a new piece of furniture, I propose to paint it in a bright tasty color. So you will not only protect the wood from moisture, but also make your DIY shoe rack more well-groomed.

4.Shelf mesh. Did you know that it is very convenient to store high-heeled shoes hanging on a metal lattice? No! I propose to experiment and add a coarse mesh to the interior of your hallway. Cutting it in advance to the desired size and painting it in the color of the walls.

The only thing is that the metal does not damage the walls and floor, it is advisable to protect the ribs of the mesh with wooden, felt or leather overlays. And so that's it, the light, weightless, invisible design for storing women's shoes is ready for use.

5.Shelf made of slatted bed bottom. Another original solution that allows you to use the slats for the bed. To do this, first you will need to screw two metal brackets to the wall, on which you will then hang the rack bottom. And then worry about protecting the wall from dirty shoes. This can be done, for example, using wooden blocks, which will help create a gap between the shoe rack and the wall.

You can also add some hooks to your shoe rack. This will additionally allow you to hang clothes and outdoor accessories on it.

6.Shelf for home and garden. It is no secret that in a country house or in the country you cannot do without rubber boots. And if so, then I propose to make a hanger for them, which will give you the opportunity to dry your shoes without staining the floor. To do this, take an old board, drill a number of holes in it and insert round wooden pins or dowels into them. Now screw it to the wall. Actually EVERYTHING!

By the way, on such a shelf you can store sneakers, sandals, and shoes: they are hung from the back with the sole to themselves. Maybe all this does not look very beautiful, but it is convenient and practical.
