It took three years of self-construction with a screwdriver, and then all the impacts began to be bought. Is it worth overpaying for this tool?
Once upon a time, a screwdriver seemed for some kind of super tool (drills, wraps, and everything without wires). But having passed with him for several years of self-construction, I realized that this is a necessary and irreplaceable thing. But even in such an ideal device, there is no limit to perfection ...
Friends, a big hello to everyone. Yes, in our time, technology is improving faster than you can get used to it. And of course there is a great interest and desire to have in your arsenal a complete set of tools for any task. But I have not yet reached this level of life, and I have to choose ...
Especially in the code, the difference in the price of the issue is palpable ...
The most popular tool at my construction site has already gone through a lot.
This is not the cheapest, but rather simple screwdriver, helped me put the box at home, and continues to serve faithfully.
But then a new competitor appeared on the horizon.
Maybe it's me "from the village", but I learned about the impacts relatively recently, rather because a bunch of reviews and comparisons appeared on them. And so maybe this is not a novelty at all ???
By the name itself, you can understand how the impact differs from a conventional screwdriver.
impact - translated as impact, impact, push, impact.
This is precisely the principle of the tool's operation.
While the screwdriver does its job simply by rotating the motor, the impact is additionally assisted by "micro-impacts", which are performed in the direction of rotation.
Therefore, he is able to twist with much greater effort., And not twist his arms. At the same time, the tool has a small size, which of course will be an advantage in large volumes of work.
But there are a number of disadvantages.
- There is no adjustment of the tightening torque, as with a conventional screwdriver, which can affect the number of broken and torn fasteners.
- The nozzles are "square" (meaning the seat). Which also limits
- Drilling restrictions.
- Noise.
- And of course the price.
And is it necessary for home use?
✔ Even after working for so long with a conventional screwdriver, I did not experience any discomfort or restriction in my work.
And as for standard household use, it will definitely be enough.
✔ Spending money on an impact, and the opportunity to simplify and facilitate your work a little, is certainly possible, but not at all necessary.
❗ Therefore, it seems to me that an impact is a tool specifically for professional activities, where there is its own specificity, and in rather large volumes.
