In the spring I didn’t have enough coal to heat my house and I decided to try fuel briquettes from sunflower husk. In terms of heat transfer, they are located between brown and hard coal, they burn for a long time, there is very little ash from them. In general, I liked to heat the stove with these briquettes and for the next heating season I decided to take half of the winter supply with coal, and half with briquettes.
I took 3.5 tons of coal in the spring, and planned briquettes for the fall. For the season I need about 6 tons of coal, and I thought to take about 3 tons of briquettes. How naive I am ...
This year is just crazy for the rise in prices: with the declared inflation rate of 6-7%, prices rise by 30, 50, 100%.
This happened with fuel briquettes. "Modern environmentally friendly and economically efficient type of fuel" -
as they say in the announcements of the sale, moreover, it is made from production waste suddenly in price almost doubled.It is not clear why the prices for waste have increased so much. For coal, which I eventually returned to and took the missing stock for the winter, prices also increased - by 30%. But about coal, at least somehow, the rise in price is explained by an increase in demand in the foreign market, but here, too... I can't believe something.
But what about gas ..
This, it seems to me, is a topic in which you also do not know what to expect.
Now gas prices in Europe have grown dramatically. Probably now we need to wait for a rise in prices from our suppliers.
In the spring, when I bought fuel briquettes, I made approximate calculations for heating my house. It turned out to be the cheapest way to heat with coal, followed by gas, and then briquettes. According to these approximate calculations, it also turned out that combined heating - coal + briquettes came out a little more expensive than gas, but the gas still needs to be carried out, and even taking into account the current free gas supply to the house, the amount turns out to be such that I can use this money for 7-8 years to be heated with coal - even taking into account the current rise in prices for coal.
Still, there was a desire to switch to gas, but now they are at a loss: well, how the price for bringing gas to the house will also increase in terms of inflation by 6-7% 😂😂...
