Today I want to tell the story of two classmates who were not friends, but were friends in their youth. Both of them were born in the late 60s, grew up in the best time of the heyday of the USSR. The families were good, the parents were party members, as befits leaders of any level. One's dad was the director of a small factory, and the other was the director of a school. Soviet exemplary intelligent families.

Despite the fact that in the Soviet school it was not welcome to judge children according to the merits of their parents, these girls were in plain sight. And the position obliged them to study well, to be active pioneers and Komsomol members. Going in for social life and sports - like everyone else at the time.

But the upbringing of the daughters was a little different. The headmaster of the school was a jack of all trades - he could disassemble the school tractor himself, weave the basket for the school site himself, and milk the cow. He also loved hunting, fishing and motorcycle. And he raised his daughter in the same way - he taught everything. From an early age she drove a tractor, mowed hay, and went fishing with her father on dusty roads. Always broken knees and elbows, a bicycle, disheveled hair, calluses from hard work.

And the daughter of the plant director was an exemplary girl, she walked sedately like her father, did not climb on roofs, did not fall off a bicycle. Her father taught her that a girl should be beautiful, soft and well-groomed. He bought her expensive creams so that the village labor (and the director of the plant had a cow and a farm) did not make her hands rough. She did everything in rubber gloves, which was completely unacceptable in those years in the village. She dressed in fashionable clothes, bought not in the general store, but in the city.

How did the life of these girls develop in the future?

Both entered institutes, where they were also exemplary Komsomol members. Suddenly, the languid beauty, already in her second year, gave birth to a child, whom the parents hid from everyone. It happened during the holidays, and classmates did not even suspect that the 19-year-old girl had a daughter. She graduated from a university, received a prestigious specialty, but her whole life went awry. No one could appreciate her soft hands, gentle voice and calm character - neither at work nor in the family. Moreover, after the usual life collapsed in the 90s.

But the restless girl, accustomed to relying on herself in everything, completely blended into her new life, abruptly changing her specialty and her whole destiny after perestroika. Her father was always her best friend and advisor - all her life, until the very old age. His wisdom amazed not only her, but also her grandchildren, who adored their grandfather, who knew everything in the world and was a walking encyclopedia.

And the daughter of the headmaster brought up her children in the same spirit - she did not interfere in their lives, did not lay straws, did not smear the pens with cream. But she is always ready to help with advice, deed and personal example.
