What problems at home regarding bathrooms should not be forgotten when drawing up a project

The issue of equipping bathrooms in the house is one of the most important in the construction process. How many mistakes people make when designing their own homes and not considering that the toilet is much more important than the guest rooms.

After all, the presence of a bathroom is associated, first of all, with the presence of many communications. And the length of these communications largely determines the price of interior decoration and the appearance of the premises.

Water

Of course, the bathrooms need water, and not only cold, but also hot. Even in the toilet, water is needed in two places - the sink and the toilet. And if it is a bathroom, then there are already three water consumers in it. Because another shower or bath is added. Therefore, the larger the bathroom, the greater the length of the water supply network. That is why we have a very small bathroom on the second floor - a small sink and a toilet. It is economical and convenient.

Sewerage

Of course, such a room also requires a sewerage system, which, of course, does not apply to cheap construction elements. But the sewerage system is not only drain pipes. In a two-story house, it is also necessary to provide for a fan pipe, without which the level of comfort is greatly reduced. And this is due to the presence of a ventilation duct where it can be released. That is, you need to design very seriously.

Heating

The bathroom must be warm, this is important for comfort and health. The most optimal heating option is a warm floor. When leaving their soul, it is very pleasant to stand with your feet on a heated surface, and not feel like a barefooted polar explorer on an ice floe. In our house, in addition, it is also provided for the heating of the bathrooms with the help of heated towel rails, which are connected not to the heating system, but to the hot water supply system. Therefore, heated towel rails are always hot, regardless of whether the heating is on or not. And this is a very successful decision, we are glad that we listened to the advice of the masters who installed the system for us.

Ventilation

Of course, in such a humid room as a shower or a bathroom, high-quality, powerful ventilation is needed. In the bathroom on the first floor, where the shower stall is located, we installed a forced draft hood with a check valve so that it does not release heat uncontrollably. The hood turns on along with the lighting in the shower stall, so no one will forget to turn it on when taking a shower. And if you just go to wash your hands, or go to the toilet, then the hood will not turn on with the illumination of the area near the sink.

This is a very interesting decision, well thought out. My husband did all the electrics in the house on his own, until the last wiring. Therefore, we have a lot of such electrical amenities and economical tricks.

Finishing

Traditionally, bathrooms are tiled. And we did so on the first floor, where the shower is. A very expensive finish, the costs for this are simply cosmic, especially since I wanted to make the tiles of high quality.

But on the second floor, where there are bedrooms, there is no particular humidity in the bathroom. Therefore, there we economically pasted wallpaper over the bathroom and made an apron from mosaic tiles by the sink. So far we have not regretted this decision at all. And we are not going to change, although initially they were going to sheathe with panels.

As you can see, there are many questions, and they are serious. Don't forget about all of these things.
