Supports for tomatoes - good or evil
Why did I buy these supports at all?
- It is easy to tie a tomato in a greenhouse, but there is nothing in the open field.
- I did not like the stakes for the garter of tomatoes, they often fell at the end of the season, they could plant a splinter and did not differ in aesthetics
- The supports seemed more stable, and, of course, neat, quite graceful
- It was thought that the tomatoes themselves would sit on them as it should, it would be possible not to tie
This is how they looked:
Reality
The supports began to fall as the tomatoes were poured. The bushes tended to hang to one side. That is, I still had to tie it up. And in some places it was too late, she reaped the harvest and did not begin to raise the supports.
Purchased support structures that do not fall off do not exist. It all depends on the bush. More precisely, of course, from me, because if you tie it up on time, everything will be fine.
Some of the tomatoes felt good without a garter, as I originally wanted. A small part. And who can know in advance about the behavior of each particular bush?
What now
There are supports until next year in the cellar:
And they lie, because they fell apart and cannot stand:
It turns out something a little too much work.
- Make money buying them
- Order in the online store and pick them up from the transport company by taxi
- Collect - guess how, and without male power it did not work!
- Something cracked during assembly, somewhere not a kit, again you need to turn on your ingenuity how to fix it
- Put it in place to work all season
- Tie tomatoes to them: stems and brushes (clips and hooks can be used in few places)
- Take it to the cellar
- Ah, build this cellar first :)
Which is better
In the end, I liked this one the most:

Stakes are still bad at all. My opinion about them has not changed. But the support is not ideal either.
Your opinion and experience are interesting.
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
