I went to the house of the "needy"
A few days ago, in a group of our village VKontakte, I saw an announcement that things were being collected for low-income families who needed to help collect their children for the winter. I didn’t have children's clothes, the children were already big and we had given out everything for a long time. But when we moved from the apartment, it turned out that we had a lot of curtains, which, although they are of good quality, are good, but do not fit into any room in the house. Therefore, I have been thinking for a long time where to attach these curtains. And here is such a case. And I decided that it was worth giving them as a gift to the poor. At the same time, I decided to ask if they needed old, but also quite functional furniture.
I wrote to the admin in the group, and he said that there are three addresses where low-income people who need help live. We all have children. I asked about curtains and furniture, he replied that, of course, everything will be useful there.
I asked for the address and decided to personally go see what is more needed in this family. There are three children. The older one is studying in a special school, in the final grade, and the two younger ones are still going to kindergarten. They gave me a phone, I called at about 11 o'clock, a sleepy woman answered.
The conversation began with the fact that I explained to her that I had seen an announcement that they needed help. She first asked where I was from and who I was. I said I was just a villager. Then the woman changed her aggressive tone to a whiny one and began to lament that they were sitting without work, the state was not helping in any way, it was only constantly checking them. That the oligarchs receive millions, they fatten, and their children do not see anything sweet for months.
I soon got tired of her lamentations, I decided that I would buy some more sweets for the children and go and see what kind of people there were. I really did not like the tone and voice of this poor woman. Young, but sits without work, sleeps until 11 o'clock - somehow this is suspicious.
And my fears were justified. Already on the way to the house, it was clear that idlers and drunkards lived here. The mess just went off scale - garbage around the house, the fence fell, there is no trace of the sidewalk. The windows are dirty, there are some rags on the windows. I even smiled, imagining my expensive curtains in this filth on such windows.
The hostess, however, was not at all embarrassed; she did not see that there was a layer of dirt on the floor in her hallway - nothing surprising. The room was a terrible mess, the dishes were unwashed, and there were leftover food on the table. Several cats and a small dog added a lot of dirt and unsanitary conditions by jumping on the couch and on the table. I put a bag of sweets and said that it was for children, since they do not see sweets. The slob thanked me casually.
When asked whether she once does the cleaning or not, this poor man replied that she was just going to clean up. I asked if they needed old furniture, although I saw perfectly well that they had nowhere to put. Then she replied that they needed a new sofa, because they have it dirty and social protection swears that children sleep on such a sofa. The "sofa" was a pile of rubbish in the corner.
To be honest, I have not experienced a single drop of sympathy or desire to help this family. I hope that the children will be taken away from them and they will be able to understand that it is possible to live in other conditions - in cleanliness and order. And what they will choose for themselves is their choice and their fate.
The main conclusion is that idlers sit on our necks, do not work, but only demand benefits and help from society. I am categorically opposed to helping those who themselves do not even think to work, although you can find work anywhere.
