What can be sawed on a manual circular with a factory stationary installation
Some circular hand saws are stationary. They come with special clamps.
In past publications on the channel, there were comments that such saws are very convenient and there is no need to invent anything, to "farm" any devices in order to use a hand circular as a machine tool.
Personally, I do not see any convenience in them when working in carpentry. And at first there was a desire to speak out indignantly about this, but still decided to write without unnecessary emotions.
At first glance, the installation provided by the factory looks good: turned the saw over, secured it with clamps, and here's the machine for you. The kit even has something like a parallel stop.
But if you work on such a machine, you quickly realize that it is only suitable for rough work.
I happened to work on a similar saw, installed in this way.
It is possible to dissolve the board into bars or slats, but the cutting line will necessarily be waves and it is better to cut with a partner. It is almost impossible to support the workpiece on the platform, and if you look at the safety rules, then you must definitely use stands. And these stands should be at the level of the saw deck.

In addition, if the sawing depth adjustment is adjusted with one screw, and this is the case in modern models, then the saw platform tilts and the workpiece is then fed somewhere up, and not horizontally. That is, you need to saw either with a full blade overhang, or figure out how to fix the saw at an angle, so that at different cutting depths the saw platform remains horizontal.
When cross-cutting, on a saw installed in this way, it will not work to saw off at 90 °, since again there is no support for the workpieces, but cutting firewood, with some skill, is quite Maybe.
One of my acquaintances sometimes had a need for a stationary installation, as he said that he was scared to approach the saw, since the workpiece had to be held almost on weight.
It turns out that if you just turn over such a saw and fix it with factory clamps to the table, then you cannot work on it without additional devices.
These saws are also quite heavy. Several models that I came across weighed about 7 kg. It's pretty hard for a hand saw.
Nevertheless, such saws are often taken precisely for installation on a table in order to make a homemade machine. Here the weight is no longer an obstacle, and the power of such saws is usually 2000 watts, which for a stationary installation will only be a plus.

In a factory stationary installation of such saws, you can cut wood, cut tomato pegs or do other rough sawing. And even for this, you need to install the saw so that the workpieces are supported, and not sawn by weight.
There can be no question of any precise processing.
At the same time, such a saw can be used to make a homemade machine. In this case, you can make a table large enough to securely support the workpieces. And the accuracy of sawing workpieces will depend on the accuracy of manufacturing all parts.
