I'm sure it's not economy or even frugality. It's just some kind of nonsense. To waste time washing bags - I simply do not have this time.

She washes the glasses with old newspapers, rubbing the damp glass on both sides and boasts that there are no streaks. You know, I also washed windows as a child, wiping them with newspapers. But I hated washing the windows precisely because of this disgusting action, when a wet newspaper falls apart in my hands, and a dry one - disgustingly scratches on the glass. It’s different now - I sprayed the product on the window, wiped it with a dry cloth and there were no streaks or dirt! Moreover, you can buy a glass cleaner for a special offer for 80-100 rubles, and it is enough for six months! And how much time it saves, I'm not talking about nerves. By the way, newspapers are now also not a very common thing if there are no upcoming elections. Do not buy them!

The dishes are washed with a mixture of soda and mustard. I don’t presume to judge how high quality and fast it is, I have never tried it. But even imagine that instead of dropping a drop of liquid on a sponge and quickly washing a mountain of dishes, I have to stir up a fresh mixture of mustard and soda!!! Then dip a sponge in it, this mixture will get wet and will no longer be effective, you need to do it again! Are you kidding me? Where to get so much time and patience to be so perverted? And most importantly, I doubt that soda and mustard are more economical than a bottle of good detergent for a promotion for 50 rubles per month.

And one more piece of advice from a thrifty woman. She cooks porridge or pilaf on gas, but does not cook them. Believe it or not, she turns off the gas and covers the pan with a pillow so that the food cooks on its own! Well, I can imagine this picture in my kitchen - I have an induction cooker, no open fire and no hot surfaces. But such a miracle is difficult to create on a gas stove. Of course, you can put on the table and cover with something, this is an option. But saving gas on this is somehow doubtful.

To be honest, I even got a little creepy from these advice. Constantly, every minute think about how to save a penny, worry about a forgotten light bulb in the bathroom, or sew scary rugs on the seat of stools from old, burnt-out rags - worn of things! This is terrible, it causes such stress that it makes this economy unwise.
I also save on everything, but so as not to make my life less quality. I save on luxury, on harmful products, unnecessary things. But to deny myself the convenience, wasting the most important thing - time - I will never agree.
