There is a world on Earth that is less studied than space and its name is Ocean, so what have we learned about the depths of the earth in 10 years

Thousands of scientists around the world are studying outer space. Humanity has the ISS, rovers, lunar rovers and a large number of satellites and other spacecraft.

And in the entire history of space, more than 500 people have already visited. Did you know that only 3 people have descended into the ocean to a depth of 10 km in the entire history? And scientists still know about the World Ocean, which can be safely called space on Earth, unacceptably little.

There is a world on Earth that is less studied than space and its name is Ocean, so what have we learned about the depths of the earth in 10 years

The ocean is another world, about which we know prohibitively little, but at the same time we manage to continuously litter

The vastness of the oceans has been studied by scientists very little and it is even difficult to imagine what amazing discoveries scientists can make. But only if humanity continues to pollute the world's oceans, then a huge number of still undiscovered species of marine animals can simply disappear.

There is life at the bottom of the ocean, and it is much more diverse than previously thought

Life on the seabed is much more diverse, and in the past decade alone there have been many discoveries of new types of living organisms, some of them quite amazing.

So literally four years ago, scientists discovered a new species of fish that feels great at a depth of 7.5 km. For quite a long time, scientists believed that life at such depths is, in principle, impossible.

This deep-sea fish, called the Mariana snailfish, is completely blind, and the enormous pressure does not allow the fish's body (which has a jelly-like structure) to fall apart.

The very fact of the discovery of a living creature at such a great depth suggests that, most likely, life can be found in the most incredible corners of our Earth.

In addition, in the first half of 2021, scientists managed to find a new species of deep-sea octopus, which received the official name Grimpoteuthis imperator (or the unofficial "Dumbo Octopus").

In addition, in 2018, at depths of 130 to 300 meters, a new type of ecosystem was found, which was called rarifotic. Continuing his study, scientists have identified several dozen species of fish, as well as invertebrates that live mainly or exclusively in this zone.

Only these discoveries indicate that our World Ocean contains a lot of unknown and mysterious, and in fact, our task with you is primarily in the preservation of natural underwater wealth.
