If at Christmas you do 7 things in the garden and garden, then the next year will be fruitful and successful.
The most wonderful time is approaching, filled with a childish sense of hope and anticipation of changes in life. Each of us, no matter how cynical and beaten by life, believes in a miracle in some distant corner of the soul. This is no wonder - the time of Christmas, when the Savior appeared on Earth, who gave people hope for the forgiveness of sins, gives reason to believe in the best.
But we, gardeners, gardeners, flower growers and summer residents, after Christmas, are gradually starting our garden season. We start sowing annual flowers, strawberries, strawberries and other early crops. We are engaged in purchases of various goods that are still sold in shopping centers at last year's prices. And in a couple of months it will all become much more expensive.
I offer a checklist for the New Year and Christmas holidays
It's time to visit the garden or summer cottage and make some efforts for the future harvest. There are many things to do, but they are all simple.
1. Conduct an audit of the seed stocks that are available and make a shopping list. How many times have I had this that I forgot that I had already bought the seeds of some good hybrid and spent money on them again.
2. Make a list of fertilizers, growth promoters, insecticides, antifungals and other plant protection products that you cannot do without. At the same point, we will enter the finished soil, which we will add to the land harvested in the fall for seedlings.
3. Arriving in the garden, you should check the perennial flowers so that they have a thick layer of snow. And if it is not enough, then remove from the paths exactly where the snow is needed. Particular attention is paid to the alpine slide, because snow blows off it. I always put pegs in the fall, between which the snow is preserved. And then I throw it on and seal it so that it does not blow away.
4. I always tie up ephedra in the fall, because snow can distort them and spoil their shape. And if this is not done, then they need to fall asleep, starting from the bottom, so that the branches lie in the snow.
5. Trample the snow around the fruit trees, it will not melt longer in the spring and the trees will bloom later, without falling under the return frost. During this work, it is worth carefully examining the trunks for the detection of pest clutches. They can be orange, purple or gray. They must be scraped off with a knife and burned.
6. If there is the slightest sign of rodents, then young trees need to be protected from them. The best way is to wind old nylon tights around the trunks. They will protect from mice and sunburn.
7. The most important thing to do at Christmas is to go to church, pray and attend the liturgy, where people pray for all their needs, including the future harvest.
It is not without reason that the Gospel says: "It will be given to you according to your faith." And this means that if you believe in the help of the Lord in all matters, then help will surely come.
I want to congratulate everyone on the approaching Merry Christmas and wish you peace, health, kindness and love for many years!
