The daughter's wedding was celebrated at home in the village. I show what was served on the table
When my daughter was getting ready to get married, my husband and I said that we had set aside a certain amount for this case, and let the young people decide for themselves how to spend it: have a wedding in a restaurant or save money for a purchase housing. They consulted and decided that it would be unwise to spend money on expensive restaurant food, it would be better to save it for the down payment on the mortgage. And the wedding can be held at home. Moreover, we have few close relatives, and the house is large, you can fit everyone.
It was summer, and it made the task easier. In the courtyard there is a gazebo and barbecue, a dance floor. There were twenty guests from among the closest. This amount would fit well at the table in the spacious living room.
Of course, we wanted to set the table according to the importance of the event, the wedding is all the same. We drew up a menu in advance, bought food on the wholesale market, and hacked down domestic chickens. They took some of the vegetables and fruits from their own garden. And everyone in our family knows how to cook.
To ensure a beautiful table setting and serving dishes, we asked a neighbor who works as a production manager in the canteen to help us. This is how the table turned out.
The daughters prepared several salads, cold cuts and fruits, and various snacks.
There were no problems with the dishes either, it was enough for all dishes.
We looked at something on the Internet, it is full of recipes and all sorts of useful tips. We even tried to cut a watermelon beautifully, and it worked!
We put whole chickens in the oven, as well as chicken legs with potatoes, it was very tasty!
The feast lasted from lunch until late in the evening. There were hot manti and shurpa cooked over the fire on the table. And, of course, all kinds of drinks, including homemade apple wine, kvass made by the hostess according to a special recipe. And after dancing in the air, the guests were offered a barbecue.
Shish kebab in our family is traditionally made by men, they are better at it. They lit up the brazier in advance, prepared the coals. And this time the wonderful Caucasian dish was successful, as always.
In a word, the meal turned out to be hearty and tasty, the guests liked it.
As befits a wedding, there were dances and songs. While the youth danced on the street to modern music, the older generation happily sang simple soulful songs to the accordion, as in the old days. The wedding turned out to be cheerful, welcoming, although we did not have any hosts and buffoons. But there was a sincere family atmosphere, open communication of relatives, a lot of the kindest words and wishes to the young.
At the end of the feast, the newlyweds thanked everyone and treated them to a wedding cake. Perhaps this is the only delicacy that was made to order.
Of course, to have a wedding at home, we all had to work hard. But the chores were justified - a home wedding cost three times less than a restaurant. In addition, the restaurant would have to go to the nearest city, which is very inconvenient and costly. And it's not a fact that the guests would be better fed there.
