Snow scraper made of plastic pipe. Now I am clearing snow 5 times faster

When snow falls 2-3 cm thick, it is not laborious to clean it with a shovel, but rather a long time. Sweeping is still difficult by moving the amount of snow with a broom. And if you do not clean the snow, then a dense crust will form under the wheels of the car or on the paths.

To save time on cleaning in such cases, I decided to make a light scraper. After the installation of the septic tank, there was a piece of sewer pipe with a diameter of 110 mm and a length of about 1.2 m.

Sawed the pipe lengthwise into two halves. I took a long handle, screwed the resulting chute (or, one might say, a dump) at an angle. Cuttings in stores are sold short, did not buy. In my case, I needed a cutting length of at least 2 meters. On the farm, there was a stalk, once made from a pole. It was not me, not a supporter, who did the felling of trees. Brought it in the form of a shovel from the village.

The scraper is reinforced with side stops. Fixed with ordinary self-tapping screws.

A moment of scraper work. The tool turned out to be light, even a woman can handle it, but if there is 2-3 cm of snow. For a higher layer, a pipe diameter of 110 mm is not enough. It is better if the scraper is made from a pipe with a diameter of 160 mm.

The disadvantage of a homemade product is that it will not cope with 10 cm of snow or after a blizzard, when a strong crust appears. For more comfortable work, a handle is needed (like on snow shovels). I will purchase it later.

I cleared this area on and off the site in 10 minutes. It took another 5 minutes to throw the snow from the edges of the site where the snow was shoveling. I usually clean this area with a shovel for about an hour.

This construction is not new, it looks like a scraper made from a board. There was one in the village. But it is too heavy and it is difficult for them to clean the area where there are irregularities. He clings to them in every possible way. In the same, if you correctly set the angle of the cutting (tangent to the radius of the pipe), then nothing clings. In general, the result pleased me, I did not expect that the tool would be so light and convenient to work with. I hope that this simple construction will be useful to someone and will be useful.
