I assembled the formwork for the armopoyas made of OSB. Cheaper and easier to install, I show numbers
To fill the armopoyas between the first and second floors, I used the experience of the self-builder Dmitry Koblikov (he shows his construction on youtube). He used OSB sheets for formwork.
I also bought OSB-3 12x2500x1250 mm - 7 sheets. They were cut in half at the store and I transported them in my car. On the spot, I saw again the sheets in half, and we got 625x1250 mm slabs. From them I made the formwork.
It was in 2020, then a leaf OSB-3 12 mm had a value 792 rbl. Seven sheets with cutting in the store cost the amount RUB 5684 To be honest, I did not even compare the cost of OSB with the cost of boards for formwork for two reasons - the cost of delivery of boards and the ease of installation of OSB. Bringing lumber at GAZelle to my object - 3 thous. rub.
I decided to calculate whether there is now a benefit in the cost of OSB formwork compared to boards. Looked at today's prices sheets 12 mm. Manufacturer Kronospan - 1150 rubles / sheet. Kalevala production - 1050 rubles / sheet. Let's take the average price
1100 rubles / sheet. Seven sheets are RUB 7,700 The total length of OSB panels is 625x1250 mm, measured in running meters - 35 m. Such a short length is due to the fact that my outer part of the formwork is made of 100 mm aerated concrete blocks with insulation. The cost of lumber today is 18,000 rubles / m3. For the formwork in height, you need three boards (150 mm x 3 = 450 mm). Or 105 running meters of the board. This is ~ 18 boards 50x150x6000 mm (0.81 m3). Sum: 14580 rub., and taking into account delivery - 17580 RUB The price difference is more than twofold.
I did not consider the material for the bars and lintels. They were made from used scraps. And now let's move on to the issue of the reliability of OSB formwork.
To fix the sheets to the walls, I used 90 mm self-tapping screws. The main thing is not to turn them inside the blocks. It is better to do the jumpers that tighten the shields every 0.6 m. I have distances on the edge.
He poured the armopoyas using a concrete pump (in the next article we will compare how beneficial or convenient it is in comparison with manual pouring). At the same time, the pressure when pouring onto the formwork from the concrete pump is higher than pouring in buckets. Probably, many thought that the formwork was squeezed out or torn off from the walls of aerated concrete. Neither one nor the other.
Armopoyas at my facility the next day after pouring. The armopoyas turned out to be even (the horizontal also smoothed out qualitatively).
OSB shields are easily installed by one person. Pull the lace and fasten the shields along the thread (according to the level). In the future, OSB came in handy for pouring a monolithic staircase in the house. In general, this method of assembling a formwork for an armored belt is not only more profitable in price than from boards, but also easier to install with the same reliability.
