Repairing a small kitchen is sometimes like a puzzle. I would like to squeeze the maximum possible amount of equipment into a limited space, organize a full-fledged dining area, plenty of storage space, but do not forget about comfort... After all, the kitchen is the "place of power" of any home. And most importantly, that all these issues are solvable!

Large, cozy kitchen - the dream of any housewife! But does additional square meters create comfort? Or maybe the size of the kitchen directly affects its functionality? No and no again! I think you have met in your daily life scanty and poorly organized spaces with a chic area?! Thus once again confirming the expression: "Size does not matter." It's all about the competent planning of space, coupled with the possibilities of modern furniture. And of course, do not forget about design tricks!

And in order to once again confirm this fact, I prepared 5 tips for arranging a miniature kitchen

1.Balance of open and closed. Today, kitchen furniture with strict lines, right angles, absolutely smooth facades and minimal gaps between walls and ceilings is in fashion. But the trouble is, home comfort with such furniture is quite difficult to achieve. Therefore, when designing your kitchen, keep in mind that something must definitely stand out against the background of a strict row of cabinets.

For example, you can add at least one open cabinet or a couple of ordinary shelves to the kitchen set. Or choose a cabinet with a door made of opaque glass or with mirror inserts.

Remember that the laconic design of the headset is good, but in moderation!

2.Folding / pull-out tabletop. The dining area must be present in any kitchen. But when a full-fledged table does not fit in its space, you have to look for another option. For example, it can be a countertop built into the kitchen set, a wall-mounted folding model or a retractable one. All of these options successfully replace the standard dining table, but at the same time save space in a miniature kitchen.

In addition, such non-standard solutions make it possible to usefully occupy niches or protruding parts in a room with an incorrect configuration.

3.Refusal of hanging cabinets. This technique allows you to save space in the kitchen. After all, it is the upper, wall cabinets that visually “eat up” the space. This effect is especially noticeable in narrow spaces. An alternative to cabinets can be open shelves. Which visually increase the space, add air to it.

But, before deciding to take such a step, keep in mind that open shelves are less spacious. However, different types of furniture can be combined, for example, by hanging cabinets on a narrow wall, no one forbids placing shelves on a wider one.

4.The use of quality materials. "Miser pays twice". After all, everyone knows this saying since school. Therefore, savings in repairs should be reasonable. First of all, you should not save on the materials from which the kitchen is made! Particular attention should be paid to the fittings ...

A small kitchen is good because a lot of furniture does not fit in it. Therefore, in this case, size is your precious resource!

5.Competent lighting. Another "detail" of the kitchen, which is not worth saving. First of all, your comfort depends on it. In addition, uniform lighting without penumbra and dark corners visually makes the room a little larger than it really is.

And if so, then in addition to ceiling lights, I recommend using functional lighting above the working zone, wall sconces or lighting on the bottom of the kitchen set (especially important for those who like to eat at night)!
