If I were doing a well now, I would be better prepared (I didn’t even know that it was better to do it in winter). Conclusions after a while.

Friends, hello to all. Two years ago, I shared with you the unsuccessful experience of drilling a well in my area.

A lot of effort and time was spent, hoping to find good water and deeper, but the Abyssinian came out with water quality, frankly, not very good.

Now I have already fully assembled the cleaning system and practically got the final, normal result in terms of its quality, thereby closing the issue of water supply.

Despite the ending that more or less suits me, I understand that not everyone is ready to put so much time and effort into all this...

Now, I would like to share an experience that will save you from such mistakes.

Without a central water supply, almost all villages and villages. Now you rarely find such “happiness” anywhere, so everyone solves the problem on their own. Where to begin?

First you need to bypass the neighbors, to understand what depths they have, this is the best guideline. But what if most wells have 2-3 rings? Ask if there is no water at all for 20-30, or the water at a depth is bad.

It happened in my story, but I still took the risk. I suffered for a week and hoped to find the coveted water carrier at 20 meters, but it did not work out. A negative result, of course, is also a result. The main thing is to draw the right conclusions ...

My advice. Do not undertake independent drilling to great depths. You will spend not only physical strength, but also mentally very tired. And about the crooked column, the ever-unscrewing rods, the water “whistling” from all the cracks, no one talks about it.

If you want a budget, then the Abyssinian is for you. Yes, someone will say “this is a hole in the ground”, but in the case of a deep water carrier, this is the only way out.

And one more important nuance at work.

Abyssinian wells are best drilled in summer. First, the soil is not frozen. Secondly, it is most comfortable to work in warm weather. What did I use?

  • Ordinary HDPE pipes;
  • Mesh filter;
  • Pump.
Get ready for difficulties. My area is rich in boulders. And you won’t wish your enemy to meet a stone while working to find water. Do not lose hope, there are areas that are more fortunate.

With deeper water carriers, the situation is different.

Communicated the other day with a friend from Moscow. They have an artesian formation at 30 meters.

If you are one of those lucky ones, It is better to drill artesian wells in winter. Here's a good explanation why:

I am not an expert in this area, I learn everything through trial and error. If you just need technical water or for construction, it makes no sense to threaten artesian water. And if there are opportunities, forces, means for permanent residence, then why not.

In general, write your opinion in the comments, which is better to drill? Especially if you have real experience, be sure to share.
