The choice of tomatoes for 2022: what to plant in a greenhouse and open ground

The garden season will soon begin, many summer residents are already fussing and picking up old tomato varieties and new items for 2022 for growing. This year I plan to sow tomatoes from past seasons and new varieties.

I collect seeds of the varieties I like from year to year. Therefore, the presented selection for this season will consist of tomatoes from different years. First, I will introduce new varieties that I have not yet planted and recently purchased at a gardening center.

Puzata Hata

According to the manufacturer, this is an early ripening variety that is grown in greenhouses in the middle lane, in the southern regions - in open ground. The first fruits appear in 103-110 days. Bushes grow large, up to 2 meters in height. The fruits in the picture attracted an unusual ribbed shape. They weigh 200-300 grams. They are classified as meaty and sugar varieties, with excellent taste. By the name of the tomato, they really are so "pot-bellied". A fairly productive variety - up to 11 kg per 1 m2.

Anniversary Tarasenko

For the first time I will grow this mid-season variety in a greenhouse. The bushes are tall, the fruits are red, fleshy, rounded with a spout, different in size, weighing up to 200 grams, excellent taste. Tomatoes are of universal importance, they can be eaten fresh, added to salads, canned for the winter in jars.

Very productive, according to the manufacturer, tomato bushes will be hung with fruits. Super profuse fruiting, as indicated on the package.

Sanka

Ultra early variety. He is familiar to many gardeners who praise him for his unpretentiousness and classic tomato taste. Plants are small, grow up to 40-60 cm. They don't stepchild. Fruits weighing 80-100 grams, dense, almost do not crack. Tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption and for whole-fruit canning.

Now I will introduce varieties with which I have been familiar for more than a year.

striped chocolate

I grew this variety last year in a greenhouse, and immediately fell in love with it. The bag of seeds was not cheap at all. He won me over with his unusual color (striped, red with chocolate-colored streaks), fleshiness, sugar content, with tomato flavor. The fruits grow large, weighing 250-350 grams, reaching up to 400 grams. I grew bushes in 2-3 stems.

They grow tall up to 2 meters, but not sprawling. I will definitely sow it more this season, as I collected seeds from fruits last year. I think that this variety will settle down with me on a permanent basis.

pink honey

Grown last year. The fruits are fleshy, sugary, juicy, pink in color, I really liked the variety for its taste. It is popular with gardeners. I think that I will grow it under film shelters on an ongoing basis. The bushes are small, determinate, no more than 60 cm high (in the greenhouse they grow even more than 1 m).

The fruits are formed large (on average 500 grams), so the plants need to be tied up. The bushes branch a little. Pink honey is a mid-season variety. The first fruits appear on the 110-115th day from germination. Tomatoes can be consumed fresh, as well as make sauces, juices.

Write what you grew from this collection. Can you recommend any of your favorite tomato varieties?
