Russian specialists have created stealth glass with improved parameters

Representatives of the Russian state corporation "Rostec" reported that the engineers managed to significantly improve the method of production of stealth glasses and, thus, improve their characteristics. Such modified glasses will be installed on "stealth aircraft", which, of course, will have a positive effect on their performance in many areas.

New development of domestic specialists

The stealth glass was finalized by specialists from ONPP "Technology" named after A. G. Romashina (this enterprise is part of Rostec). And according to experts, the first batch of produced glasses fully confirmed the technical parameters that were previously calculated.

For reference. ONPP "Technology" named after A. G. Romashina is an enterprise with unique experience in fully independent development and further mass production of optical products with unique thin-film coatings.

At the moment, developments and equipment make it possible to create products from at least 200 or more layers, while the thickness of an individual layer ranges from 0.25 to 0.3 nm.

And the refinement itself was concluded in the fact that deposition was added by magnetron sputtering in vacuum in the form of a thin film consisting of metals and metal oxides.

Thus, due to such an innovative spraying, invisibility was improved by almost 20%, which is an excellent result.

Stealth glass produced using the new technology will be used in the so-called advanced aviation complexes. This will significantly reduce the visibility of future aircraft for radar installations, and will also improve other characteristics of the machines.
