Winter garlic is a mandatory spring top dressing against yellowing of the leaves.
Most gardeners in the autumn bring compost and mineral fertilizers to the soil. But even if this was done, winter garlic needs to be fed in spring.
Melted snow partially leaches useful elements from the soil that vegetable crops lack. Because of this, garlic grows poorly and develops poorly.
To prevent this negative phenomenon, it is recommended to carry out additional feeding.
Ammonia and hydrogen peroxide
The first symptom of nitrogen deficiency in garlic is yellowing of the tips of the leaves. Sometimes the same symptom is provoked by fungal diseases or frostbite.
Complex mineral fertilizers, as well as urea, will help to cope with the problem of yellowing leaves. Hydrogen peroxide and ammonia are often used.
The advantage of these drugs is good absorption. In addition, they are endowed with excellent antiseptic properties, so they repel attacks by pests and fungal infections.
In order to prepare an effective solution, you must:
Ammonia concentration 10% - 3 tbsp.
It must be added to a bucket of water (10 liters).
The two components must be thoroughly mixed.
Pour the solution of the beds with winter garlic.
Before watering, the beds should be well shed with water at room temperature. This is necessary for the best penetration of the solution. After a few days, the appearance of the plant will improve.
To treat winter garlic with peroxide, 3 tablespoons of the drug must be dissolved in a liter of water. You need to process with a spray gun. This solution is effective for frostbite.
