If you have a work lamp in which the glass lampshade has broken or the appearance has simply deteriorated, you can try to give it a second life. Even if your creative imagination is poorly developed, the option that I will offer you today can be done by absolutely anyone. And if you want, taking this method as a basis, you can decorate the lampshade with other decor, making the lamp truly exclusive.

We will need:

• ordinary plastic bottle;
• insulating tape
• scissors
• knife
• the lamp itself
• suitable light bulb.

We select a bottle that is suitable in size. Before working with it, open it and put it in the refrigerator. After an hour, we take it out and quickly twist the lid back on. After a few minutes in a warm room, the air inside will heat up and expand, which will create a certain pressure inside. The bottle will not crumple, it will be very convenient to work with it.

We wrap the top of the bottle in a circle with ordinary electrical tape. You can use any color of electrical tape, and the appearance and lighting will depend on this.

Cut off the necessary part of our lampshade. You can use both scissors and a knife - it all depends on your skills and the size of the bottle. We tighten the edge with electrical tape so as not to cut ourselves on hard plastic.

Cut off the cover so that the top matches the size of the former lampshade. We bend the antennae so that they do not put much pressure on the plastic. You may need to experiment a bit with the hole width. And we put our lampshade in place.

Of course, plastic may seem soft for such a lampshade. But as an experimental sample, for example, to the country, this option is very useful. Only the light bulb should be economical - the usual, standard incandescent is not suitable in this case. It just melts plastic. And at best it will be ugly, but in principle it threatens with serious consequences in case of violation of fire safety. You can also use a larger bottle so that the lamp does not affect it in any way.

Turn on and check. It remains to attach the lamp to the wall and enjoy the result. You can decorate in any other way, it all depends on your imagination. For example, make an oblique cut, stick tape in a different way, take tape of a different color, attach additional details. Of course, this method should not be taken as the basis for decorating all apartments, but as a temporary option it is great.
