"Although rot in a bagel"
Hello everyone on my channel! Dear guests and subscribers, today I will briefly tell you a simple way to bend a polypropylene pipe into a donut, but at the same time it will not break.
Before starting, I really want to ask you, put likes, write comments and subscribe to the channel, and in return I will share construction tricks with you more often!
Let's start!
1. The first step is to solder one end of the pipe. There are several technologies that are used when soldering polypropylene pipes.
The first method is based on the principle of melting two elements with their further connection, but here the accuracy of processing the joints is important.
The second method is based on the method of "cold" soldering. Here the role of the active soldering element is played by a special solvent that can soften the plastic pipe.
It is also possible to solder using a shaped element - pipes or couplings of a larger outer section. Here, the technology lies in the fact that we melt the pipe section along the outer circumference and part of the coupling inside. Then we connect the parts.
2. Next, we fill the pipe with water, after which we seal the second end using the sealing method of your choice. It is better to use hot water, so the plastic will melt faster.
3. We begin to bend the pipe. We need a strong source of warm air. It can be either a gas burner or a hair dryer, which has a strong power. We evenly heat the pipe along the entire length.
You can not be afraid that the pipe will melt during heating, this is almost impossible since it becomes less sensitive due to the water that is inside. As we know, water is a special substance that has the highest specific heat capacity among liquids.
4. As we can see, the heated pipe is very easy to manipulate, and you can easily give it the bend angle that you want.
At the end, do not forget to rinse the pipe under cold water so that it freezes in the position you need.
Ready!
What can a bent polypropylene pipe be useful for? Sometimes during installation it becomes necessary to make contours, and this method can also be useful when you need to make compensatory loops of the system.
Friends, that's all! I hope you liked this building trick and if so, be sure to write about it in the comments. See you soon!
