How they differ from Russian villages

click fraud protection

In each country there are places in which people live "the old fashioned way." What is the difference from our Japanese village, Russian?

Let me tell you about a Japanese village "Minka". This old settlement, but there are ordinary people still live. Here you will not see the ramshackle houses and new houses for those who are a little richer.

The Minka those living who served the samurai and close to them - peasants, artisans. Class divisions have disappeared, and the word "Minka" call home and the village of appropriate age and traditional construction.

There are several subspecies of houses:

goka (fishing);
NOC (farmer);
Matija (closer to the city, where people live richer - merchants, tradesmen, craftsmen Mastra);
gassho-zukuri.

The latter species is perhaps the most recognizable village house. Translated, "gassho-zukuri" means "folded arms". The name arose because of a kind of roof, built at an angle of 60 degrees. It is such a lot of villages on the island of Honshu. They live ordinary people, the main thing - time to change the straw roof.

Minka are preserved monuments of culture. Many villages are listed by UNESCO as a protection of World Heritage sites.
As in our villages, ordinary people lived a wealthy life, so in the construction were used the most simple materials - wood, clay, straw, bamboo and even a simple herb.

When he was in a traditional Japanese village, you know how strong these people root and spirit of the past. What the Japanese respects everything that surrounds them, even if the bamboo houses are preserved still in excellent condition.

Of course, in the country there are enough poor village, but tourists are not supposed to know about them. And it is not the level as in other countries. Passing by the "poor" villages, you do not even feel the spirit of poverty. The Japanese are very ashamed of their poverty, and for its feature of only 12% of the population and the poor is the one who earns less than half the average income. Even the homeless on the streets of Japan (and yes, these also occur, although rarely) look clean and neat.

In modern Japanese village, even in the most run-down, you will not see crumbling buildings and rickety fences. I have been to many places in Japan, and I can not understand - why in a country with the same number of people, but with the least resources, compared to Russia (where 40% of the resources of the earth), even poor people live, not exists?
