I am a creative person and go up creatively even to normal repair. After the purchase of apartments when looking at the dull walls in the bathroom I wanted to make it more alive, to give some kind of charm. I had the idea to use in the decoration of three-dimensional parts, including the elements of nature. It turned an amalgam of eco-style with a bit of glamor.

Beginning of work

Since the walls in the bathroom were initially uneven, which in Russia is not news, I decided to turn this disadvantage into a plus and implement a niche with designs that was less noticeable roll. Immediately identified, which will be part of an artistic modeling (left of the entrance, on the wall opposite the bathroom).

On the adjacent wall, which houses locker with washroom facilities, fitted well into the mirror with an unusual configuration. In the first stage, when laid tile, left room for a niche with image, as well as mirrors, and noted the approximate size marker.

When he came to the part where the wave-like configuration, the tiles have to be cut, making the rounded edges. To do this, I use these tools:

glass cutter (small pieces);

Tile (special machine);

grinders.

Cut tile edge skins to become smooth. Alternately nurse every tile to the wall and carved smooth lines, in accordance with the planned figure. Thus, all of tiled space around niche. Where there are empty places, lined filler. Then primed before painting (it took two cans AXTON, 10 liters, 150 rubles).

So why I contacted this mosaic !?

According to my idea, around the mirror in finished form should flaunt mosaic tile pieces, interspersed with bright rhinestones (that's I am a designer!). However, holding this part of the job, I quickly realized that she - the most time-consuming and requires a lot of time and nerves. I picked up the tiles in two colors (with the walls and floor) and cut it into small uneven parts (where Tile, where a hammer, as it will).

The problem was that each tiny piece must be thoroughly sanded, which takes a huge amount of time. A few days later, I cursed everything in the world, but had nowhere to retreat - I'm used to bring the follow through.

When the pieces collected enough, I began to spread them along the space tiles, alternating colored pieces so as to obtain a pattern similarity. In about the same distance pasted burgundy glass. Creating mosaic has also proved a very difficult task, as required to pick up the pieces so that they are correlated with each other.

In general, cutting and laying-out took about three weeks (in the evenings, after work). Then, when I talked about this a master tiler, they unanimously said that would never in such did not take. Well, but I will have a bathroom, like a king!

When the mosaic was finished, it left to create a three-dimensional pattern (this is my favorite part of the job). For this was used a conventional plaster (stucco plaster ROTGIPS, 30kg, 400 rubles per bag, took about 10 kg). Distribute the solution along the tiles and in the corner, where he decided to do the basic composition (pre-paid basic line marker). Immediately was the thought of the tree-lamp on the ceiling, so that the pattern on the walls is in the form of a tree with intertwined branches.

After the plaster has dried up a bit, I started to cut the figure by means of special rezachkov with different volumes of the work surface. Excess cleaned spatulas. On the branches cut through the veins, in some places at the ends do curls and leaves. This work is creative, requires concentration and diligence. He finished in a few days.

coloring elements

At first everything: the branches, and the wall, painted in primary colors - brown, which goes well with tiles (latex paint, exterior, painting roller). I waited dries. Then I take another color, in gold and began to apply only to the branches, careful strokes. You will need:

broad brush of medium hardness;

soft narrow brush;

piece of sponge.

Where thin branches - smaller brush is needed. Optionally, to paint all the veins, so it will be easier to see the scope and looks spectacular. Sponge applied on top of the golden paint to achieve the color of the game. With painting all easy, it remains only to build a tree-lighting.

The lamp in the form of a tree

I did it not of a piece of wood, as everyone thinks, but from ordinary aluminum thick wire size. Just twisting, bending like the branches, and in some places unbent in different directions - to get twigs. Then there fastened electrically, dropping it to those ends where the bulbs are planned. All this is covered with an acrylic sealer, then the same paint as the walls.

With the caps had trouble - is fixed on the ends of the tape sticks, glue and than have to - the main thing that is well kept. Then the entire structure attached to a wall and the ceiling on the screws and screw the light bulb.

Finishing touch

I ordered a mirror in stekloreznoy workshop. House carved oval with wavy edges of cardboard the desired shape and brought them. Made from his material handed within 1500 rubles. On the wall is attached to the liquid nails. It was such a beauty, which had not expected!
