Bathroom no longer a dream (bathroom remodeling)

Like many private tenants of old houses, I have just two years ago dreamed of repair. But it is not just about repairs in the rooms of our house, and on capital repairs in the bathroom and toilet.

I'll tell you a little background about our house, which was built in 1960. The farm named after Pushkin for the family of the worker.
In 1984 my husband's parents bought this house. Its area was at the time of 40 square meters. Toilet and bathroom was not in it.

In 1994, my husband's father has attached to the house a small room and bathroom together with WC. The area has become home of 67 square meters.

My husband and I went to her parents' house by inheritance. Our family lived in it since 2011. The first year of life in the house showed that it is necessary to make major repairs in the first place in the bathroom.

Since my father in law to build and equip the room with his own, not being a specialist in the field of construction and finish, and even more than a year ago, the bathroom left much to be desired.

Please note that the child had to bathe not in the bathroom, and put there a small baby bath, since the use of the bathroom itself was no longer possible. Over the years, the enamel on her cracked, sometimes beginning to break away and bathroom became very rough.

On the ceiling of the bathroom I was glued already yellowed with age ceiling tiles that constantly moved away in different places and it just always had to glue. I do believe that use of the material for the bathroom ceiling is not practical!

Walls and floors in all the rooms were decorated with old tiles, bought during the Soviet years. Due to the fact that the tiles on the walls and floor were placed on their own, without the help of experts, it was clearly seen a lot of chips connected halves of the tile. In addition, the walls were uneven and it immediately catches the eye.

Plumbing, too, leaves much to be desired. All pipes and radiators were outside the walls. Over the years they have rotted and are constantly leaking in different places. We had to substitute different capacity, as their repair was already useless.

Bathroom, toilet and sink were good only emission.
Also in the room was a very big disadvantage. The bathroom was cold, especially in winter. Paul was just ice and bare feet could not go there as soon as his feet were freezing. It was necessary to insulate the bathroom!

Suffer for several years, I am still persuaded my husband to do in our bathroom overhaul. But to make it not alone, and to invite a specialist in this field.
We invited a man who was truly master of his craft. He very quickly all with us to discuss, listened to our wishes, I have made some changes and suggestions made measurements, draw up an estimate and said to prepare the premises for repair.

I agree that this is just a nightmare!
Agreed with a specialist, we have chosen the date and went with him to the store where they sold everything for construction, renovation and interior design. There specialist helped us to select all the necessary for our overhaul. We certainly spent a lot of time, because it was necessary to buy everything from drywall primers, pipes, etc., and ending with an overhead shelf and different things for interior design.
That's the long-awaited moment has arrived! In August 2017 the master went to work.

First, the master made a complete dismantling of the entire premises. It certainly was a complete nightmare! A few days in the house was the noise, dust and odor from the use of grinders. Many problems brought our bathroom, as her legs were concreted turns. I had to first break it with a sledgehammer (and I must say that it was iron, even the old days) and bear in parts, and then cut the grinder on metal legs.

Repairs in the bathroom lasts about a month. But it was worth it!
In the process of repair of the walls and floor of the room had warmed the bathroom (for walls using sheetrock gypsum plasterboard) and aligned with the plastic pipe Hot and cold water were hidden in the floor drain toilet made entirely new and elsewhere radiators hidden in a niche, electrical wiring completely replaced by the new, the walls are tiled (I chose tile collection with elements figure),

tiled floor (the color was chosen to match the color of the tile, but a bit darker), suspended ceiling made of white plastic, bath replaced with a shower booth (on the advice of her master to buy parts for her pallet he himself lecturing), installed a new door, a new toilet seat mounted and installed a new sink.

Above the shower master recommended to make the ventilation, which was put on the street.
On the whole, we purchased material from her husband spent about 110 thousand rubles. But I believe that it is quite accessible to almost every family. After all, we do not repair for 1 year.

And finally, our repairs were completed. The result is simply amazed me! It was the bathroom of my dreams!
New bathroom had nothing to do with the fact that there was before the renovation. The end result we get this so wonderful.

Our family is very happy with a new bathroom. Now we have it not only beautiful, but also very convenient. And even despite the fact that the insulation walls of the room was smaller, it is very spacious.

The only thing that upset us in December this year, when the street was severe frost, cold and hot pipe (which were hidden in the floor and held closer to the street wall) peremerzla water. We certainly have warmed water (using a heat gun), but the problem now need to tackle and resolve the cause.

And for this we will need to open the floor to hold the pipe and towards the middle of the bathroom, or to insulate the foundation and walls of the house, because the house is very old.
